Xylord's correct. you fucked up enough to earn it. technically, the time frame for warnings to expire is 1 month usually, though it can be more or less in extreme circumstances
-
repost your issue using that form. all that info is important. be sure you include a log and/or the specific mods it says you are missing.
-
yes, you do have permission
-
saying that BTW is a really cool mod that would go great with the game is pretty much asking for trouble. thus sct's popcorn.
-
I sincerely hope that this thread was a bad troll attempt.
-
nowhere, as it is still in development. it's a safe bet that most of the mods that are in the recommended build of technic are in 7.1.0 as well, just in various updated forms. like thaumcraft going to thaumcraft2.

good news everyone, I have been called a lot of things, but I think this is the first time I've been described as a "class act", haha.
-
don't tell him that, beer! the internet is ALWAYS right. you can't post anything that isn't true online!

I've never cared much about the occult and all that nonsense. I've absorbed some information about it in passing, but not anything more than any other subject that I don't particularly care about. that's still an ok amount, as I love learning new things pretty much no matter what those things are, but I have no real interest. funny story about it though, I once had a guy in highschool threaten to sic his witch coven friends on me and magically paralyze me overnight. I showed up to school the next day and laughed at him.

"IMHO" is far, FAR shorter than writing out "In My Honest Opinion" the game was made by swedes, yes. it was also made in english and the people behind this mod pack speak english. thus, the forum is in english.

jesus people, stop posting just to see word filters. forestry is not in tekkit because the author made it abundantly clear via passive-aggressive updates that he did not want it in the pack. thus, it is gone. please do not complain to him about it either, as it will do no good and only serve to get you banned from whatever forum you use to complain to him. in short, it is gone forever barring a miracle. if you want to run a server with forestry, you will have to get all your users to install it manually and you will have to put it on the server yourself as well. great news though, according to the internet, doing that is easier than using the launcher so I'm sure you'll be fine.

come on man, it's been like 24 hours or less since I got you unkellered. please don't make me regret the decision.
-
you're welcome. contrary to popular belief, the mod team actually likes to help people. we just don't like helping really stupid people.

Is there a way to install Technic in another location?
freakachu replied to ChemicalEdge's topic in Cafe Lame
they are very similar but not exactly the same. for this purpose, I believe they would both work, though. -
I've studied enough history to know that this is not a new thing. people in general have always been inherently lazy. for one, it's jawohl. for two, both of these are low effort posts for three, double posting is bad. I'll thank you to not shit up this thread as it's been a reasonable and intelligent discussion up until these posts.

There's a link on the main index and the forum section itself to post a report. Use that instead of trying to hijack unrelated threads.
-
yep, you are one of the ones affected. the telltale sign is being keller'd with 0 warning points. I'll see if we can get you back to normal since you asked nicely.

any mod that goes inside minecraft.jar normally, needs to be placed into modpack.jar when dealing with technic. you will then need to shuffle block IDs around using the config file that the mod generates. do be careful though, with a base class altering mod (meaning it goes into modpack.jar, not the mods folder) you have a good chance of breaking everything
-
this is what I don't get: what good is having a heart attack over a misplaced punctuation mark going to do? are you going to mail bashiok or whoever a report card with a big red 'F' on it for using the possessive wrong once? send a letter to the guys who make saint's row to inform them of the atrocious alphabet soup they're attempting to pass off as english? what will it accomplish? I really think this is a problem that easily solves itself. it's a really fast way to know if someone is stupid, or too lazy to even care about appearing like they have half a brain.
-
well, that was fast. guess we can all go home now

the link torezu mentioned will certainly work, but I prefer symlinks or NTFS junctions if you're just trying to get it to put files somewhere else on your own PC, and not make a mobile install of technic. it's less hassle and works great to keep the files off your SSD. -
Why can't I just find a server without 12 year old admins.

best part: got that PM after I warned him. good job reporting me to the other mods. looks like that really worked out for you. edit: looking at the time stamp, he actually sent that before I warned him. EVEN BETTER. -

no brain and uncooperative. Is that more your speed? -

sounds like you will only ever be satisfied if you are your very own 12 year old admin. a piece of advice though, no one is likely to want to help you when you ask for advice and then complain that the multiple pieces of advice given aren't good enough. double for doing it in a way that makes you look like a bitter child, crying and stubornly saying "no!" to every attempt its parents make at placating it. "there's pre-screened high quality servers over there, johnny!" "no!" "would you like it if you made a server, johnny?" "no!" and so on. I guess I was more correct than I thought with my first post.
