Using Proxies with the Technic/Tekkit Launcher
freakachu replied to fracica15's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
what the fuck is this? why the hell would I want to proxy your "boom boom"? what? no. -
depends on what IDs EE is setup to use in the theoretical updated technic version, as well as what changes have been made to EE between your version and the version in the theoretical update. short answer: maybe.

all kinds of things. how about you go spawn yourself some items and find out? it'll be fun!

Using Proxies with the Technic/Tekkit Launcher
freakachu replied to fracica15's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
I guess I made the poor assumption that the batch file was in the .techniclauncher directory. that folder needs to be made there. so like this for universal use: mkdir %appdata%\.techniclauncher\rtemp that should do it. -
umm I'm pretty sure you need diamond, even in technic. that is only taking into consideration the various pickaxes though, there's other stuff like mining drills, lasers, destruction catalysts, etc that can mine obsidian

Using Proxies with the Technic/Tekkit Launcher

There is a trick to making this work. Add a line at the top like this: Mkdir rtemp Then it will not restart itself. -
That's because you are. Listen, sandwich, these forums are not moderated like anywhere else you've seen. Stupidity is not something we take kindly to for a reason. if you want to have a reasonable, intelligent, and quality community you need to dispense with the idiots or make them stop being idiots. How hard is it, would you say, to find either the launcher bug forum or the tekkit bug forum? Did you have trouble finding it? Of course not. If someone is not even willing to take the time to read forum section titles, what makes you think he will put more effort into any other kind of post? I understand your intentions, and they are good. You want to be helpful and nice. I get it. Unfortunately there's a well known road that's just chock full of good intentions. Coddling people like the OP is like giving a man a fish instead of teaching him to fish. Edit: looks like I was late to the party a bit. Thanks, phone!

Images as what? Are you wanting to post an image?

Did you even try the suggested fix in this thread? You know what, it doesn't even matter, because you aren't even giving any info about your system. I'm getting really tired of people trying to hijack threads in the bug boards.

consider though, that when there was penny candy, making $5 an hour was decent money.
-
there was a time, before I was born, when things like "penny candy" existed. literally candy at $0.01 a piece. such things no longer exist because inflation. yay economics!

the most likely scenario is that your quarries had an item spill. it's very common and if they are large enough can bring any server to its knees. that would explain your FPS, the connection issues, and the fact that a new world fixed the problem. if you want to save your world, first tell your buddies to stop being nubcakes. second, either use MCedit to remove the items on the ground, or use a plugin like worldedit or something that can delete loose items once you manage to log on.
-
listen guy, I don't think you understand how things work around here. if you have a problem, like low FPS, you look through the bug board and see if anyone else has had a similar problem and solved it, if not you post and hope someone can help. what you don't do is ask someone to pirate the game for you. bad idea.

hahaha, I sincerely doubt it.

have to add 15 mods to play online tekkit
freakachu replied to Rusty9494's question in Technic Launcher
don't update tekkit. use the recommended version, because there is no public server for 3.1.0. -
totally unrelated to the religious aspect of that video, the ideas contained in there do not lead to anything close to utopia or a reasonable society. the end result of basing everything on a rational and scientific approach to minimizing overall suffering is extreme tyranny. how else are you going to make sure suffering is minimized? euthanasia becomes a great idea, the old will only suffer in sickness and frailty anyway and they can't really do anything but be a burden to their children. according to that video, that's morally acceptable killing. heavy regulation is required to ensure the "proper" education is given to every individual in order to make sure they can make the informed moral choices they need to make, not doing so eventually will cause far too much suffering. the persecution of anyone who does not think in a similar fashion is also easily considered correct. if you're not on the same page, you could convince others of your way of thinking and this would be extremely harmful to society. you and your lot might say or do the wrong thing at the wrong times and cause undue suffering to those around you. the major downfall of this idea is that it relies on people to be purely reasonable and educated in absolutely everything while all agreeing on absolutely everything. good luck on ever making THAT happen.

the argument that the bible has been mistranslated or changed over centuries of transcription is quite common. it's also not as accurate as many people think. even the oldest manuscripts end up being functionally identical to versions penned hundreds of years later. when you consider that for the jews, and later various christian monks, the transcribing of scripture was considered a sacred act, and any mistake an affront to god himself, it makes some sense that you ended up with some unparallelled accuracy. combine that with the fact that even the bible itself mentions that the scriptures are essentially divinely protected, so as to preserve god's message contained within. of course, if you don't believe in god that last part doesn't mean anything to you, but the rest certainly should. this is exactly what I'm getting at. from the atheist perspective, this is the only logical and sensible conclusion. as for the "thou shalt not kill", that commandment is famously misquoted. it is "thou shalt not murder", which is all together different. that is why god can commands the hebrews to go to war quite often in the old testament without being blatantly hypocritical. it's pretty clear I'm outnumbered here, and I'm really not interested in instigating "the religion debate thread" for these forums, so I'm going to leave it at that. I was just a little tired of having my beliefs bashed and lampooned. I feel a bit better now. the regularly scheduled mocking of all religions can now resume.

it does. it has a reset button, probably hidden inside a very small hole. on that note though, many network hubs and switches have no buttons

if you updated to the very latest dev version (7.1.x, I believe), EE is not there either, nor is compact solars. thus, they all went *poof*. if you want 1.2.5 goodness without the ridiculousity you can try the 7.0.1 version, but that isn't perfect either. it *does* have EE though.

let's play, "spot the inconsistency"! I wonder what the problem could possibly be?
