  1. the answer is no one knows. assume that there will not be, just to be safe. that way if there is, you win and if there isn't you aren't taken by surprise.
  2. I don't have a magical answer for you, but I can rule some stuff out. your client is showing no errors, and the screenshot is what happens when a server does not send the chunks it should to the client. basically your problem is a connectivity issue. the server is not sending the data it's supposed to to the client for whatever reason. has this always been the case, or did it develop recently? also, if you make a new world do you have the issue?
  3. yeah, the exe will put the jar there. don't think the jar will do that on its own though
  4. given your history, you can get bent for posting shit like this far too much. learn how to turn off capslock next time.
  5. if you've run the launcher on that machine, it should be in there.
  6. Re: game wont start best error report ever made. brought a tear to my eye, which then stut as fast as it started.
  7. it is. it is always there once you've run the launcher at least once. well, unless you're not on windows. as for doing it all in one line, you wouldn't happen to be a Perl fan, would you?
  8. if the launcher is even executing, log files should be generated. if that's not the case it isn't even getting that far. OP, have you tried running the technic-launcher.jar directly instead of using the .exe?
  9. but.. but I can outrun a centaur!
  10. you're gonna have to type it in. manually. with your fingers. by pressing said fingers against the keys on your keyboard so that the letters on the keys that you press match the letters you see on your screen. make sure you do it in the same order too.
  11. you placed a wooden pipe in a stupid place, probably connected to an energy condenser. use MCedit to remove the pipe.
  12. you're gonna need some kind of error message if you want more than guesses. open up a command prompt (start-> run -> type "cmd" -> press enter) and type the following into it: cd %appdata%\.techniclauncher java -jar technic-launcher.jar it should stay open so you can read the error.
  13. oh really? you are also trying to run a .jar file with the java installation program? what a coincidence!
  14. when you learn to find the stickies, your computer will learn to find java. deal? deal.
  15. yeah, I watched pretty much everything that came out about the game from the press betas, TB included. I'm pretty sure it was better in the BWE than in previous betas, too. mostly I just thought the picture was funny and appropriate.
  16. everyone in the beta had to have already shelled out 60+ bucks to be there, actually. the screenshot is more of a lucky timing thing than anything else though, it's really not THAT bad all the time. tons of crazy effects is a problem at times, however.
  17. it's because you can't read stickies or find the correct place to post this kind of thing.
  18. not totally on topic, but this picture is a perfect representation of the end of beta event, if not any place with >20 people [img width=800]
  19. CANNOT READ STICKIES! plz help it comes up witrh words error also, get bent.
  20. what in the holy hell are you doing trying to get log files with 7zip? listen, read the stickies. there's a proper format for this kind of thing and you should follow it. what you have just posted is the semantic equivalent of "it broke, fix it. also, why haven't you told me how to make it work?" that is the exact opposite of helpful for anyone who hates themselves enough to attempt to help you. I'm going to be nice, because I'm in a really good mood, and not probate you for this abortion of a post. instead I'm going to lock it and allow you to try again. do not post anything resembling "it dun broke and I can't 7zip my log files" or I will be upset. for reference your log files are located in the .techniclauncher/logs directory and are in plain text.
  21. turn your sound off and see if that helps. there's a known issue with IC2 (possibly just the advanced machines?) and their sound effects. you could also edit the IC2 config to disable sounds from IC2 machines only.
  22. haha so after reading this thread, the OP downloaded the java installer and tried to run the technic launcher using the installer instead of actually installing java and then using java. awesome. OP, are you the type of person who would be given a test and instructed to "answer all the questions", only to turn in a blank test because no one told you to write the answers down as well?
