thanks, MoM. a couple of things: if the tanks are connected at the top, it won't work unless they're full. make sure you have engines powering all your wooden pipes.

a full cycle of booting includes a lot more than "player connected with the following mods", but yeah, please do include a more complete log. doesn't matter if it's from a different timeframe right now.

that "log" is just the two lines that are generated when someone connects. can you post one that's a bit more complete? does java generate any error files, like hs_err_pidxxxx where xxxx is some number?

clearly you've updated or modified IC2 somehow, probably on the server. try reinstalling the server fresh as well as the client (back up your world if you want, of course). see if that helps.

can you connect to any other servers? doesn't matter which ones, just any one will do. if so, your friend is the issue and not you. laugh at him until he learns computer enough to run a server correctly.

you two "same problem" people who are most likely NOT having the same problem, especially AWishart who is probably getting the IC2 major/minor version error: get bent for not providing any additional info like log files or system specs. you are so unhelpful as to be negative help. do you NOT want to get your problems resolved? OP, have you tried reinstalling the server? if so, what else have you tried so far to fix it?

give it a shot and see what you come up with.

now that I'm done with bruce and dan, I remembered that you might also want to try running the .jar directly with the version of java you want it to use, just to make sure.

well, first thing I'd do is make sure you're running both the client and the server with 64-bit java. uninstall the 32-bit version if you have to. see if that improves things. if that doesn't work, up your max ram on the server and client a bit. try -Xmx1500M or so as well as selecting the 1.5 gig option for the client from the launcher.

how much ram do you have available on your system?
