"A LAST, IMPORTANT STEP (Thanks to vidplace7 for this fix ) Download the other file linked below and navigate to your server folder. There should be a folder called lib, and inside that gson.jar. Delete the one that's currently in there and drag the new one you downloaded in. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THIS FOLDER: Start your server once without doing this and it should create the folder (IT WILL THROW AN ERROR!). Shut your server down again and then do the above. And then you should be good" Old version of gson.jar: http://www.mediafire.com/?o133ub9x3mggdk5 Did you try the fix? :D

I have seen quite a few (good) tekkit servers use NoLagg with no apparent caveats. It has worked fine in my tests. Just make sure you use the build for 1.1-r4
-
NoLagg will help a lot with those entities When it detects individual items on the ground, it autmatically places them into stacks on the ground, cutting the possible lag amount by about 64 times. 64 times less lag is good all day long Ex: Your crazy Quarry fills up your one measly chest, and starts spewing the rest out of the top, shit piles up everywhere!! NoLagg piles all of those entities into stacks, so a pile of 4096 entities just became a pile of 64 entities which will degenerate just like the individuals would, problem solved :D

Re: tekkit 3.00 SMP I think a common misconception may be that the tekkit team has control over when the new pack is released. In short, THEY DON'T! They have to wait for the mods to be ported to bukkit so that they can conveniently package it into this wonderful modpack As of right now, based on my conversations with the good folks at the mcportcentral IRC, it will be around 1-2 weeks before Equivalent Exchange is ported, as they are rewriting it from scratch. I know we are all looking forward to a great new pack, but be aware that it will be some time, I wouldn't expect anything until at least May 7th. To see a list of the status of currently ported mods go here: http://mcportcentral.co.za/wiki/index.php?title=Ports_for_1.2.5 -

I found a great hosting company, one that officially supports Tekkit and modding in general its called Fluctis Hosting. I am most impressed with their control panel, which they coded in house, its truly amazing. Also, their pricing is amazing!! I'm paying $14 for a server with 1GB of RAM, unlimited bandwidth and storage, and a dedicated IP and port. I have used this host for a while, and I absolutely love it! Check them out at https://fluctishosting.com/ they are really amazing *Additional Note*: I was not given any incentive to make this post, I really love the host, and I think people should know about it, these people DESERVE your money!! *Note to moderators*: If recommending a host on here is against the rules, just delete this post

Re: Tekkit SMP Grief Issues, Offending Item List You are a saint!! Does the patch fix all of EE related offenders? EDIT: I see now that it only fixes the DM/RM picks, and the morning star... can you fix the others as well EDIT (again): It seems to be working well, blocks destroying in protected areas for me with DM/RM pick and the morning star :D

Modified Factions for Tekkit 2.1.1 with support for Auto-Mining and Forestry
vidplace7 replied to termhn's question in Tekkit Classic
According to the error, you messed up the yaml code at some point. Copy the entirety of your config.json and paste it into here (http://yaml-online-parser.appspot.com/) That should identify any issues with the formatting in your config -

*TWEAK* Fixing the "sorta" Iron Dupe bug (Optional)
vidplace7 replied to sct's question in Tekkit Classic
Cool tweak, not a fix of a game-breaking issue, but still needs a sticky :D -
MAKE SURE that you have installed the base JPortable correctly, the file structure should look something like E:/CommonFiles/JPortable when installed on your flash drive
-
Done :D
-
This is a pretty useful bit of info, someone (Jay?) should sticky this :P

Working for you? Haha, I have had this set up for months, never had one chance to actually play with it lol
