That's kind of obvious... read what it says. You need JFK 1.4+ and not JRE which the it points to above.

Triple posts are unadviced if you need help... Also you didn't ive enough information which version of java are you using (version n.o. not system type) and are you running the program as adminsitrator(as this is windows 7 and the launcher does modify computer files so you need to run it like this). Info bug needs more info >:(

Re: Metropolis Blog Lol thanks , I hope to use what i've learnt here about modpacks to enhance the cheetah pack. Hectic Craft is a great team and it's fun working with them , but trust me on this the technic guys rock... because it's incredibly difficult to convince modders to give you permission to use their mods. Any tips from the technic team in the skills of persuasion, most prominently how you managed to convince the stubborn dr.zhark, would be appreciated . We're working on something pretty epic,currently in planning phase, that I'm very enthusiastic about as it was my idea . It'll be completly unique in the modding world...

Re: Metropolis Blog I'm sorry guys but I'm going to have less time for technic :'( , however I'm going to join a small modding group and start making mods for you guys so don't be sad(who knows perhaps one day they'll be in technic too ). I might still post in my blog from time to time but my frequency of posts is going to significantly drop. I hope to one day resurrect the city in the form of a server...

Yeah oxymoron , allwasy found that a strange name for a english technique but hey i ddin't invent the language. As to samchu I'm also a bit like that too so don't worry, technic forums aren't full of old people(ok yeah it probably is but .. im not old ) . Modders don't often enjoy working together and it barely ever works out, a pretty big weakness in the minecraft community if you ask me...

Yeah ... not happening, millienaire and technic don't go well together- even MOAR millienaire lagg- and I doubt the modders will work together. Descend from the clouds guy... :P

Try looking in the .jar of either minecraft.jar or the techniclauncher/modpack.jar The texture files should be there..

Yeah but the somnia screen isn't very intresting , they should have a mini-game while we wait . Anyway I like to d other thigns while i wait for my furnaces, mine ,collect produce from farms ,etc

Thanks for answering my question in so mcuh detail linkthegamer you are = or > 8) . I wonder if there is a way to bring back the light to those long-time players, perhaps a mod that is so awesome and content-rich it'll put the entire gaming community in awe.

If you visisted the computer craft program library you'll find quite a few people made viruses... I think someone should make an anti-virus plug-in in a future update or just as a program, it might solve this server's issue.
