Very easy solution for this. When you go into the platform page of your pack, edit it and check the box marked "Force directory change". This will have the user select another folder to install the pack in thus fooling the gregtech code into thinking its just being installed into a misc. folder.

Here are a few things before we get started: - If you don't have a question and cannot contribute, don't bother pressing the post button. - Theories should be loosely backed up by fact. We don't need somebody posting that a moon of Jupiter is made of cheese. - Please make reference to credible sites for basic knowledge and people. Not everyone knows that so and so did this important thing. - Try to keep things in layman's terms so that others might grasp blinding intellect. If a word has more than 15 letters or has "ology" in it, you should provide some extra explaining. That's it really. Just make sure you are contributing and referencing facts.

Its not a problem with the platform, its a P.I.C.N.I.C. (Problem In Chair, Not In Computer) You clearly have just not learned how to use the platform. Go learn like the thousands of others who have.

Really? I never noticed that with the twenty or thirty modpacks I have made. Very few people have had any problems when looking al the guide I linked to in the above post. Maybe I should go look into that. You need to go tell every modpack maker of the thousands of custom packs that technic can't read their jar files and it has just been working by total fluke. You have greatly improved our humble community with this completely unknown knowledge. :suicide:

Never the less it's important to the community. Every one has been whining about the lack of frames and this is what they have wanted. Also, your taking much more community input than elo ever did. This won't be some add on mod that is barely used, it will be something the community loves and will remember.

It's been complicated with the update. I am the guy who makes the pack and manages most of the acctual work and this is the second server I run. I've been having issues with the other forcing it to not run so this has taken a back seat. I have good hope I can fix the other by mid saturday and get this server updated by that night. As for the kellering, well I got cocky...

I would not expect it to be possible for any angle not a multiple of 90. As for the rotatial cliping, why not just have it find the distance from the fulcrum to the furtest corner (pythagorean theorem) and scan if any blocks that occupy the area that it would turn? I'm thinking of somthing very rudementry. Also for air ships, there has to be some type of grap to players or at least the insurance that there will always be a solid block underneath. Redpower ships had a tendency to drop players from the sky.

That would be a custom pack. Again, you have to be more specific. Now that your saying it was a custom pack it is much more likely it just was not put together very well. The Devil is in details.

Just throwing this out there as a crazy idea, rotation? I have no knowledge base in coding so I have no idea how hard this might be but I think I know enough basics to know that for this to work, it would have to: - find it's own dimensions - locate itself in those dimensions - using the opposite side in it's frame of reference, find if the direction it's turning has room for the dimentions - calculate a 90 degree turn of all the objects with itself at the center - move the blocks in the same way it would for a regular move I find this was functionality that frames missed. I don't know if that was because Elo just never wanted to do it or if it was because it was not possible. I'm a layman in this field so please, excuse my ignorance.

Currently the only pack in 1.2.5 is tekkit classic so no, it's not technic, it is tekkit. Also, you never mentioned other packs in your OP. Even so, it should be in someplace like cafe lame as this is not a launcher issue. My guess to your lag is maybe a Build craft pipe spewing items somewhere. Edit for : Manaus, the king of links, is also a ninja.
