  1. Try going into new chunks
  2. Yeah, I understand about Java. But they're running Java 7u45, the graphics drivers are the problem. Whenever I try to install the intel integrated graphics media accelerator for graphics I'm not allowed to as I'm not the administrator. Well, guess I can just play Happy Wheels in that case! XD
  3. So at my school we have some free time during lunch and advisory to be on the computers, which are really crappy HP Compaqs with Intel Q45 Express Chipsets from 2008. They're crap, but Minecraft isn't that demanding and I'm sure I can get it to run. I've tried downloading drivers to not get the "Open GL" or "Bad videoc ard driver" crash, but I don't have administrator privileges to do so. Is it possible that I can get the game to run at all?
  4. I know you're trustworthy, it's just this is purely a survival server and if you can make a good spawn then do it in a single player world and send it to me.
  5. Ok cool, so I'll probably get a 1 TB 7200 RPM Western Digital HDD and 2 128 GB Samsung Evo 840 SSD's in RAID 0. How do I set up RAID 0, or is it automatically done by the OS if I have two identical drives?
  6. No what I meant was is two SSDs in RAID 0 faster than one normal SSD?
  7. Make a good schematic and I'll put it in
  8. We need some information. So where are you hosting your modpack.zip (places like DropBox?) and what program are you using to compress the modpack (WinRAr, 7zip?). If you're using WinRAR, don't 7zip is better for zip files hence the name.
  9. Awesome, also I've heard that RAID 0 is faster than one SSD if you have two identical ones, how do I set that up? Also do i need an optical drive to install Windows 8?
  10. I've heard building in Mini ITX cases, particularly the bitfenix prodigy can be tricky for a beginner? Is this true? http://pcpartpicker.com/b/LzH
  11. Yeah but I can add an HDD later if I need it, I don't need much a storage so an SSD isn't much more expensive. Same thing with an optical drive, don't need one so not getting it.
  12. Because why do I need to waste money on a conventional HDD when I can have a SSD for a zippy OS and fast booting games?
  13. I don't mind the tablet theme too much, but maybe that's I've been conditioned for it growing up using Mac and iOS. As for peformance, I know Windows 8 loads up faster but I heard it's harder to overclock components with. Is this true?
  14. UPDATE: It works at long last! It was an ID issue now fixed, you don't even need to update the pack.
  15. Ok, so I did some work on PC Part Picker and this is the result: http://pcpartpicker.com/b/LzH Think a beginner like me could build that?
  16. That's odd, I'll look into that. As for the ticking entity I'm not sure, hopefully the worlds not corrupted
  17. Hmm,, I think that's good. I'd use windows 8, and an over clock ready motherboard and 4770k as well as a bitfenix prodigy for the case
  18. Yeah, I'm not a good builder, but if anyone sends me a good spawn schematic then I'll be happy to WorldEdit it in!
  19. Reason I want 16 GB is because I would like to run servers from time to time for my friends and i to play on. Also I want an SSD as I don't need too much storage and want faster boot times. This isn't purely a gaming PC, but once that i want to be able to use for a while as my main computer.
  20. Ew, conventional hard drive. I don't need much storage, so I think just 2 256 GB Samsung Evo 840 SSD's, and also I want 16 GB of RAM, and mini ITX, I don't need SLI. And I'm not a good builder, never built a PC and don't want to risk $2500 on something I might break trying to build.
  21. I've been using my aging iMac for some time and it's beginning to only be able to run games at medium in some cases, and the graphics card is pretty shitty (An AMD 6970m), so I'm thinking it's time for a native Windows gaming PC. I'm looking for a beast at a budget around $2,500 and no i'm not building it myself. So a pre-built PC around $2500, preferably one with a GTX Titan or 780 Ti. Also a Mini ITX case as I want to be able to carry it around sometimes. Any suggestions?
  22. Hooray, the server's finally back up! We also updated the pack,so be sure to download the update!
  23. I just tested and there's no error, try again by resetting the modpack. Also server is down for a few days as I'm having issues with my PC, thanks for your patience everyone!
  24. Geez, i remember when my pack would barely run on 256m because we had around 200 mods, looks like you have a similar situation here. Maybe consider lightening up the pack for people with not so beefy computers? That's what i did and I have a much bigger audience now.
  25. No problem, glad you were able to log on XD
