Your problem might be that there's a mod that has different configs for server and client, which is tricky business. (Like Millenaire). Make your own modpack similar to Catch N' Slash or something maybe.

Don't use .RAR, i reccomend 7zip if you're on Windows and Unarchiver on Mac, name it modpack.zip, rar doesn't work. That's your problem. And by hsoting I mean like DropBox or what? Just don't use WinRAR, use 7zip (assuming you're on Windows).

Hmm.. Seems like the pack creator forgot to update the server files. Let him know.

Seems like it's the server's problem not yours, mention it in the pack discussion and link him a pastebin of the crash report so the pack creator knows. That or your computer does not like BiblioCraft.

I think I'll try that, though do you think a RaspBerry Pi could handle the traffic of around 20 downloads a day if I hosted my files there?

Good idea, Virtual Box seems good. Any recommendations for a Linux distro I could use? Or I might be able to set this up on my Raspberry Pi XD

A friend and I tried to get Solder running on my iMac some time ago, it involved a lot of wineskins and sweat, but we were never able to do it due to knowledge, but I'd think it would be possible. Anyone have any ways I can get an Apache server on a mac and set up the Solder API on it so I don't have to pay for a web host? Thanks.

Good point, this could filter out the bad packs. But sadly, I haven't set up Solder yet, so my packs would be considered junk as I haven't been able to get a hold of a Linux or Widnows server (Mac User here) to run the database on :(

Where are you hosting your mod pack and what archiver are you using for the modpack.zip? Make sure you're using the direct link.

Are you connected to the Internet? Try downloading the .jar version if you're using .exe maybe, I'm not sure. Seems like a problem on your end, maybe if you could be a bit more specific I might know what you're talking about.

I'm assuming you're using Tekkit Main, just look up the recipie in NEI, I'm not sure what you mean by you "can't craft it". Look up "factory machine block" in NEI and click R when hovering over it.

The Mod List requires Technic Solder API to work, and the Server Tools is for official Technic modpacks only I think.

Well not a lot of 1.7 mods yet as there's a huge amount of work to be done for mods to port over (MCP and Forge), but there's several cool 1.6.4 mods that I think you might like. As for tech there's Thermal Expansion and MFR which were both recently updated to 1.6.4, but I'm not aware of many others you haven't heard of. You could download IC2 or maybe Forestry. Some cool mods include Tinker's Construct and Open Blocks, for PVP mods I couldn't really help you as I'm not aware of that many. Maybe Balkon's Weapons or Tux Weapons? That's just my two cents anyway.

Simply download the universal version of the Forge build you're using and rename it modpack.jar, then place in the bin folder of your modpack. Voila! In fact, since I'm a nice cake man, I'll give you the link: (Mod edit: NO ADFLY) -

No one's going to make your modpack, if that's what you're saying. Just delete Mo Creatures, doesn't seem to work with the Forge recommended build which is strange.

Well, there's more than enough tech mods. I recommend you download all the Universal Electricity mods and add Flans mod with a bunch of gun and vehicle content packs, that should be fun. I can't wait until MCP and Forge update to 1.7 fully and this ID nonsense is over, until then ID fix is my best friend XD.

Before you rebuild, see if the results are different joining on a machine with java 6, also what version of java does the pc running the server have?

That might be it but I recommend getting notepad++ (if you don;t have it already) and checking through all the configs to make sure there's no conflicts (IDs taking up the same number)

That's Forge's messed up auto ID system for ya, I ran into this problem before, pain in the ass to fix. Had to rebuild my modpack, because different java versions handle the IDs differently, it's a mess. It seems like some of your item ids are conflicting and Forge is handling sorting them in different ways depending on what version of Java people are using, check to make sure you don't have any ID conflicts. It's weird.
