Ok, thank you for your suggestion but my mind is set. I see the reason behind a gaming desktop, and for most it is the good choice, but with my schedule I can't have a $2000 desktop that just sits at home and I almost never use. And I'm getting a console (most likely the PS4) sometime next year hopefully.

The slots aren't fulll, I checked. It has four slots, and three have 8 GB sticks.
-
This supports up to 32 GB, I plan on adding another 8 GB stick. Also do you know if it's possible to replace the CPU on this? Also for storage, this also has a 1 TB hard drive so I think that's fine.

I want a gaming laptop, which I've made clear. If I was in the market for a desktop, I'd do what you recommend. I just want a relatively good gaming laptop, and this passes that test with flying colors.
-
With those kind of specs I don't think it's a waste. A portable gaming powerhouse is pretty badass. I'll definitely think about if but for now it's a pretty good candidate. I want a laptop that will be good for at least five years, so this should do. But the question is, can it run Minecraft?

I'm planning on hosting a part time server on this. The more RAM the merrier!

Exactly why I think an Alienware might be good. Razers strike me as ugly underpowered overpriced laptops that have a weird touchpad on the side (seriously who needs that?). Alienware isn't that overpriced I think, but I've also been considering an ASUS laptop. Any suggestions on good ASUS ones or should I get an Alienware?

I don't WANT a desktop, that's my point. I'm not looking for suggestions on getting a desktop or laptop, I want a good laptop plain and simple. Not some crappy $600 windows 8 notebook, if anyone has any LAPTOP suggestions then feel free to tell me. I want a gaming machine I can take to my friends house for sleepovers every once in a while. When talking about friends playing something like Minecraft or Borderlands 2 side by side beats Skype any day.

I don't need something ultraportable, just somewhat movable every once in a while. But if I'm going to get a computer then I want it to be great, and I need it for travel very once in a while.
-
Like a said, I need a computer that i can actually take somewhere evry once in a while, so a desktop isn't possible. This needs to be my only computer.

Suddenly real life is tremendously unbalanced and people start flying and making explosions all over the place. The economy crashes due to everyone having a ton of gold and diamonds from collector farms. I wish for eternal cake life.
-
Ah, I see. This is good news.

Alienware does, and so does Razer. The problem with Razer is that for the same price I could get a pretty kickass Alienware for I get an ok gaming laptop with a weird touch screen trackpad that I don't want. Laugh at me if you wish, but I've been considering the new MacBook Pro they announced today. It's actually not that over priced, and has a higher resolution than practically any other consumer laptop out there, as well as being slim and sexy. I could bootcamp Windows onto it. Anyone agree?
-
I'm pretty sure there's some sort of Java argument to change the resolution.

The bunny becomes rabid and you are forced to put it down, causing you a huge depression. I wish I had enough money for the new Mac Pro (it's so sexy!)

Also make sure it's named modpack.zip

What compression program are you using?
