jvb50m should be banned for being an Endermen. Direwolf20 hates Endermen.
-
No problem, the cake man's job here is done. :)
-
No prob, that's what a cake man does .

I gave the default 1 GB. I'm running Mac OS X Mountain Lion, try asking other users if your pack if this happens. Also try increasing the perm gen size in Technic Launcher settings. That might fix the issue.
-
Yes, mountain lion is what I would go with. If your computer can update to it if course.
-
Try updating your java to the latest version.
-
That's odd, no crash report at all? What OS and what version of Java do you have? Check your forge logs in your modpack directory.

Able to play for awhile, But completely crashes my Mac
Amaxter replied to LordShadowWing's topic in Platform Pagoda
Don't use Java 7 on a Mac with Minecraft, stuff gets weird. Download and install java 6 (Apple's version) and make a startup script to launch the Technic Launcher with Java 6. You say and seem tech savvy enough, so you should be able to do that. -
What's your OS?
-
Next time please give us the crash report so we can understand what's happening. But being the awesome cake man that I am, I found your modpack, downloaded it, and didn't find a problem. Creating a new world was fine, so I'm not sure what your issue is. Give me the crash report you get and then I can help you.
-
Your files should automatically transfer over to the new OS, your personal hard drive remains unchanged. It might not fix the issue, but it's worth a shot and you'll have a newer OS!
-
That's because you need to upgrade from Snow Leapord to Lion. How old is your computer?
-
Don't update your java. Macs, Minecraft, and Java 7 don't like each other. But do update your OS. Also your graphics card is relatively old, and it's hard to upgrade them on Macs (at least the newer ones). You might be boned, unless you have access to a computer with a better graphics card.
-
I'm running Mac OS X and as such I can't really make a good database for solder. Any one know any good Ubuntu hosts?
-
Sounds like an issue with your video card. Not much you can do since you're on Mac. Might just be the mod pack. Can you give the Platform URL? Also you're running a pretty old version of OS X. Try updating your software.
-
Sounds like something with your computer. Do you know if you're using Java 6 or 7? Also RAM and OS don't mean squat if you have a crap processor. Not that I think you do but just warning you. If you can give me your processor information (Clock speed, Brand, number of cores). I used to lag a lot on my laptop until I added some custom Java arguments to make the game run better and more efficiently.

This doesn't really give us a lot to go by. Give us the modpack.zip download to your modpack or Platform page, we need more than a list of mods to fix it. Once you do I'll be happy to test it.
-
Give me the link to the Technic page for your modpack and I'll see what I can do. I can host it if need be.

Yeah, but say with a Tekkit-sized (and performance similar) modpack how many slots do you think I could have with 5 GB? I've heard the general rule for vanilla Minecraft is 1 GB per 20 slots, but with a MCPC+ server running several plugins and mods, how many players could I handle before the TPS and performance start dipping down hard?
-
Yeah, I'm no expert but I'm far from an idiot when it comes to tinkering around with things to get them to work. That's why I own a decent gaming PC. But the only reason I own consoles is when exclusives like this come out, also I find the multiplayer experience to be better than on PC (in terms of finding all my friends). But yeah, hope a PC version of this comes out, I don't wanna have to give another $60 for a PS3 version that might not even work either.
-
Well, fuck consoles. When I put GTA V into my Xbox 360 disk tray the game refused to load, even after installing the right disc and everything. Games being easier to play on consoles my ass. Back to Steam then!
-
I have a 3.1 Ghz quad core intel i5 sandy bridge. Also someone told me that allocating too much RAM isn't good either as the server doesn't know what to do with it all. Is this true?
-
Remember, your mimicking a minecraft installation. Make a folder in your mod pack zip called Flan and put the content packs in there.
-
Well one of the mods is saying "class not found", that might mean one of your mods has a multiplayer version. I have no idea which one. Try removing Armor Status HUD, that seems like a client side only mod.
