    ICBM Mod

you install it the same way you would install any other mod. take the mod and its dependent mod and put them both in the mods folder. make sure you are using the right version
  2. I think that with what we have tekkit would make a great war pack if you added icbm and darkthunders mffs
  3. are you prepared to disable the transmutation table?
  4. unless you completely and i mean completely gut the entire transmutation system their is nothing you can do to prevent people from getting infinite materials.
  5. true, it does not have rocket travel its radar system is actually much much more sophisticated and their are already anti-balistic missiles with which you can target and destroy incoming warheads. lasers for both anti missile and anti personnel purposes are on the list of things to be added. it is true that the power system is far less sophisticated but it is being improved and their are other mods using the same api that look promising. or alternetly, a great addition to an "eternal war" build
  6. hence my recommendation that people try the ICBM mod
  7. I would direct your attention to the ICBM mod their is a thread here: http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/icbm-mod.14367/ and the webpage here: http://calclavia.com/icbm/ It is being updated far more frequently and it has more functionality.
  8. water mills have been known to spontaniously not function
  9. you were thinking of transformers which do indeed have that i/o setup
  10. you have only linked in one direction. the problem should resolve itself if you link the offending telliporter to the working one (as in use a new frequency trans and click on the nonfunctional one first) hope that helps
  11. not if their is nothing for them to pillar off of
  12. what about just putting a base in the end? if they attack with a jetpack they have no quantum and if they use a frame ship then you return fire and drop them

    ICBM Mod

that depends, I feel there's something to be said for jungle temples with spikes to impale unwary visitors. After all, how else will we be able to fully re-create Indiana Jones?
  14. are you sure that those glitches are related to playing tekkit in single player? I only use tekkit for single player and I have never had any of those issues.

    ICBM Mod

HELL YES!!!!!! I found that the prettiest way was to come up through the floor but i am sure their are others. right now I have an experemental set up with storage units hooked up to deployers and receivers. that then feed into a launcher bank. that lets me use the remote to select which missles to load into the lancher bank (up to ten missles of any configuration) and then i use the laser range finder to target the volley. a ten missle volley of shpraptenal missles is a sight to behold.

ah, but if you have the other two then you can use the remote to designate which of the various missles to load or when to unload it so you can switch missles. not to mention it gives you the ability to sellect multiple rockets for the different launchers in a barage. you are correct though, i should ahve mentioned that the laser designator is the crical final step

    ICBM Mod

red power + wireless redstone + icbm= any missle, any where, any time. this mod is amazing, The number of ways that you can blow up npc enclaves is awe inspiring. edit: be careful with the sonic missile it appears to have corrupted my world

    ICBM Mod

I would disagree, we have more than adequate ways to kill oursleves. more ways to "encourage" customer policy acceptance on the other hand...
  19. no. that would be the case if frames worked the way you think they do however, they do not. keep in mind that frame motors can move blocs and that the movment side of a frame motor works like a frame. that means that you relitivly easily construct a solid state 4 way drive and while 6 way drives are possible it is generaly easier to simply tack the additonal two directions on after. here is my favorite 4 way design that I use on all of my military grade airships from the top: this is it from the side: and this is it with the top blocs removed: the actual motion comes form the motor core and the entire contraption is provide with power via the 4 lapiz cables that are hooked up to a blutric sorce (usually thermopile because they are easier to make combat resistant) when a redstone pulse is sent down one of the obsidian cables it prompts the corresponding bottom mtor to slide the motor above it out of the square. that motor is now positioned such that when the next pulse comes it grabs the pillar it is facing (one of the frame ones on the corners) and slides the entire contraption the same way it was moved. effectively returning it to the core for reuse. their are more powerful systems and their are certainly faster systems (sprinter drives are an art form unto themselves) but i find that this is very durable and generally foolproof. for the other two axis I generaly just tack on two of the systems pictured below somewhere above the previous set up. the Hidden motor always faces the same way as the visible one and you have to make sure their is something for the visible one to grab when it is triggered (as control and power of course) I do have a couple of true solid state 6 axis engine cores like the one below but they are very finiky so I dont generaly use them unless it is for a special military aplication where size and modularity realy matter. unforunatly all of hte ones I have are covered but you can kind of get an idea of how it works form the outside: and here are some pictures of a frameship where the first system has been successfully implemented. all of the movent systems are in the central column and the only remotely logic like blocks I use are 6 timers one for each direction. everything else completely dumb circuitry. outside: you can inkda see a power cable and a control cable underneath the glass: better image: control room: hope that helps
  20. as a general rule almost all of the best systems are caterpillar based. the challenge is how small can you get your central core. at the moment I believe the smallest that we have managed on our server is 5x5.
  21. why not simply use industrial craft mining machines and eliminate the need for most of the wells? on our server we have found that ic2 based mining systems tend to be faster and more powerfull if set up correctly.
  22. ah, thanks. just found it. space station construction will begin
  23. what if they need 200 stacks of wood? wouldn't it then be faster to go to the person who has the automated wood farm?
