When will technic support Java 8?

How long will it take before the technic launcher will support Java 8? I'm not asking for a specific date or anything, just like within the next update or it will probably take a while

The Technic Launcher already supports java 8. It is Forge versions for Minecraft 1.6.4 (and probably earlier too) up to 1.7.10-10.13.1.1216 that crash with java 1.8_20+.

I'm running a 1.7.10 modpack everyday on Forge 1.7.10-10.13.1.1217+ with java 1.8_25 without any problems.

 

There is a legacy fixer for the vulnerable Forge versions here. You can add it to the mod directory manually and the pack will work on java 1.8. Remember that every modpack update or reset will delete this little mod.
