Sorry about the title but this would probably be the only way to stop the endless tide of noobs.

I was thinking about ways to convert the files and how to get people to do it so I googled for programmers for hire. If we were able to get a quote from a respectable company that could port mods that the noobs and ultimately we all want, the missing bits of tekkit. We could start a donation pot that people pay into. All we need is a pay pal account and someone with enough time to contact a respectable company.

Hiring a professional to do the porting doesn't guarantee any sort of quality level and introduces a whole clusterfuck of legal technicalities.

No reputable programmer would touch a "Please take this other guy's stuff and make it work for me because I want it" with a adventurer's standard 20ft pole.

Anyone who would take the job would have a 90% chance of adding a rootkit and other nastyness to the mod because only black market programmers would disregard code ownership like that.

If you want these so badly go talk to the modders yourself and ask them how much people would have to donate before they made their mods latest-forge/bukkit enabled.

Or hire one of those freelancers to make a new mod that does those things.

The Soviet Union bribed scientists to work for them, I really want these mods and money will be the only way I could see this done by at leased Christmas or even in our life times. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

1. Stop wasting vertual paper you don't need a space between each line.

2. Why did I want to get donations and hire some professionals, quite frankly the ammeters that built this have bolted it together not welded it. We need professionals to clean it up for a start.

3. The money is to make flan come out of the basement and let us use his mod and the Minecraft SMP Manus improvements.
