bradbradallen Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Hello everyone, I've been toying with a few Relays / Collectors, and managed to get them up to a rate of ~1.3 million EMC/minute. That being said, I'm trying to figure out the most effective way to organize and keep track of the results. As of now, I've been converting the EMC to Red Matter (3 per minute-ish) in an Energy Condenser, but the Condenser was filling up every 2-3 days. I'm looking for a more long-term option. I'm now pumping the Red Matter out of the Condenser and using Distribution Pipe to send it off to 8 different boxes. This allows me to have roughly 2 weeks before they all fill up. That being said, now I've got all this Red Matter in different boxes, and it'll eventually fill up. Can anyone think of any other long-term options? Preferably with an easy way to track how much EMC / Red Matter I have in stock. It's not a huge pain in the ass to go to each of the 8 boxes and multiply that amount by 8 to get a rough figure, but I'm trying to simplify this entire process. Thanks! Quote
freakachu Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 you could turn them into something like a red matter furnace, which I believe is one of the highest value EMC items that can still be transmuted easily. Quote
The Merchant of Menace Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Turn it into RM Furnaces, then use those to charge up Klein Star Omegas. Quote

Did not know about RM furnaces - thanks! Seeing as I've got 8 chests with 54 slots each (432 slots total), each slot can hold 64 RM furnaces (27,648 furnaces), and each furnace is worth 2,514,952, I've got room for 69,533,392,896 (~70 billion EMC) worth of materials before I fill up. At a rate of 1.3 million EMC per minute, it will take roughly 53,846 minutes = ~897 hours = ~37 days before I fill up on RM furnaces in all my slots. (Someone can double-check my math there if you're as nerdy as I am and have free time). Is there any good way to keep track of the total amount of furnaces/EMC I have, though?? I don't know Tekkit well-enough to know whether or not that's a possibility (other than just checking by hand). Quote
bwillb Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 turn all your EMC into golden apples and eat them. Quote

BLAZE MkIV Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 I saw a video were someone used redpower item detectors to signal to a computer and track the total output of his quarry. I'd rig up an advanced insertion pipe on a chest and pipe the over flow to lava. I'd also make a turtle build an ever expanding cube of rm furnaces. Quote
Hushful Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 I'm actually quite curious as to the reasoning behind needing to track so much EMC. Are you making and epic build, hoarding it, or what? I'm sorry for prying, but I simply must know. (Not really, but you know how it goes.) Quote

There's no real need for it, but I enjoy watching it go up, managing it, etc. I figure I'm already a nerd if I'm playing Minecraft - why not embrace it :) Quote

Minecraft is the big fad right now at all the middle and high schools near me. I don't think I've ever heard someone referring to a minecraft player as a "nerd". Quote

Hushful Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 What a nerd thing to say, nerd. Hey now, no need to insult Sir Nerdenstein of Nerdopolis. We should all just get along and embrace our inner nerdom and nerd it up in here. Quote
