I love this game. I didn't know you could pay for it but even in its current state it's worth 3 bucks.

I would prefer that the devs (at least for now) followed minecraft's gui more closely, the current one doesn't really suit the low def textures of the rest of the game.

Are there any public servers or anything? Generally I prefer to play alone but even Space Pirates are scarce....

Okay, well, it may have been a massive bump, but with the Yogscasts' videos on it it's probably worth reviving this thread.

And yes, there are public servers. I'd advise joining a private one though, there's almost nothing in the way of prop protection. (Meaning people can get in your ship and delete every piece of it)

Here's linky: http://star-made.org/forums/servers

Oh. Huh. Just realized how much time was between the first post and the one before mine.

Anyway, yeah, went on a public server. First I logged out in my ship and it was deleted, (a common problem) and then the map reset, I started building a ship, and some guy came over and blew it up.

I had the idea that maybe any bullets/lasers/missiles should be deleted if they move within a certain radius of the spawn shop or any players/ships nearby. That might help.

I've been checking this one out with my friends, and it really is pretty fun. I kinda thought it would just be a Minecraft clone at first, but it does add plenty of unique features and works nicely (assuming you don't put everything too close to your core - that can send you a long way away...)

Starmade revelations:

1.Every time I make a new ship, I think "holy crap, this thing is massive!", then about 30 minutes later start work on one 10N times bigger. I'm currently working on a model of the Destiny from SGU.

2.The moment you realise nobody cares if you eat space stations is the moment you become powerful

3.Damn, those ice crystals are pretty

4.Missiles make pretty fireworks

5.That galaxy map is confusing .-.

Just found out about this game a few days ago. It's awesome. I can't wait to see how it develops. Anyone found any decent servers yet?

At this point there is no such thing as a decent server unless it is a private one because, for example, there are no mechanics preventing a total stranger from walking up to your ship and taking parts off of it. StarMade = greifer heaven. :P

I haven't been keeping track of StarMade, other than noticing it came out on Steam.  I decided to watch the trailer, and... holy crap.

It's come a long way.
