NEI stuck in recipe mode

i had NEI working yesterday but now it just does not seem to work, i have tried looking at my permissions but all is working and everything in the NEI.cfg file is working, but alas recipe mode is still stuck ive tried many solutions to fix but no results that show completion.

Before another mod swoops in and assumes you are dumb and cant read let me get in here first. Are you saying that you did the stuff in this thread that's at the top of most of the forums sections, and it worked for a while but then stopped working?

Only thing I can think is that you updated recently and it overwrote your config, but you said something about it being fine so I'll need more info.

Hopefully it's just that you haven't edited your config to allow cheat mode.

well it did update i guess it could be that and i managed to get it working yesterday and when i went on it today i went onto my world and i noticed that it was in recipe mode i tried reverting it into cheat mode but it did not work, so i went into the NEI.cfg in notepad checked it all seemed fine the recipe mode said it was false i was baffled at that point which concluded me into starting this.

also i just decided to go straight through the technic launcher folder into technicssp and take a look through configs for the NEI.cfg file and i fount it had gone back to the original file which says that recipe mode is locked etc. i am seeing if this will revert the problem, ill have the answer soon

i fount the problem i did not check the file when going from .techniclauncher, what i did is search for the file *derp*

Well that's good. Problem solved. Also something to note, make sure you don't have the game or launcher running when you edit the config or it will revert.

yup i guess you guys need to make a sticky about this saying when you update go straight to the file not just search NEI.cfg since it will go to the file you used which is an old version of it :P

The thread where it talks about NEI fixes says what directory the file is supposed to be in. Sorry man, but we can't help it if you forgot to check where the file you were editing was.
