cooleb09
As we all probably know flan's plane mod hasn't been updated in a while now and I'm trying to make a new version for me and a few friends until it works. Can anyone tell me: A) how to make an entity in FML how to make it mountable C) how to make it controllable D) how to add a GUI to it so fat it may use fuel and E) how to make it able to take in lava or Buildcraft fuel through pipes to run on. Any help will be appreciated.
ThrillBird
most of these things is quite complicated stuff. I wouldnt advice you to write an entire new plane mod if you dont have some java knowledge already. What you could try to do is to update flans mod yourself. Probably easier, but still a hard task :)
cooleb09
Actually I do have some experience with modding and java, I just can't find the resources I need to program these things.

Any help will be appreciated. For ABC, I'd check decompile Mo's creature mod and take a look at the code for the horses. D is a bit harder, but maybe you could do something by checking the code for combustion engines, same for E.
cooleb09
I'm now thinking of simply getting the code from the airship mod, re modeling it, re texturing it and adding the GUI to that.
warlordmaster
Smart, but what about being able to go at angles and the plane pointing in the direction?
spartanyanni
Airship mod was a bug breeding ground. I recommend you write your own code or base it off Flan's.

Neowulf
Dear lord, the blobfish is really a babelfish? Now I'm worried, the mayans might have been recording the comment period for the proposed interstellar throughway. With it nearly over and we still haven't been able to get to our local galactic zoning board office and lodge a complaint, we may very well wake up on the 21st greeted with notes from the dolphins thanking us for the fish...
