andrewdonshik Posted March 3, 2013 Author Posted March 3, 2013 Why are there 2 way points by default Um, what world?
nedned2k Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 While everybody's waiting, why not help a bit on the wiki? There is quite a lot of information that needs to be added.
Ysharma Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Im at a family friends house using their intel core 2 duo with 3 gb of ram. Im on the server
andrewdonshik Posted March 3, 2013 Author Posted March 3, 2013 Im at a family friends house using their intel core 2 duo with 3 gb of ram. Im on the server Oh, delete the rei's minimap folder. I'll nuke that in the update I'm pushing in a second.
theprolo Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Ok, I'm on the server. This may or may not have anything to do with increasing the PermGenSize.
andrewdonshik Posted March 3, 2013 Author Posted March 3, 2013 Yep. Fix is going into launcher options and increasing permgen size. Oh, and delete the rei's minimap folder please!
Ysharma Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Oh, delete the rei's minimap folder. I'll nuke that in the update I'm pushing in a second. what are the client side mods? could we sort the mods list, by core mods, mods and client side mods
andrewdonshik Posted March 3, 2013 Author Posted March 3, 2013 what are the client side mods? could we sort the mods list, by core mods, mods and client side mods MobDismemberment, rei's, huds, and invtweaks, and backtools.
Mooseman9 Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 If I could suggest replacing Rei's with VoxelMinimap. Andrew, why do you make this pack hard to install? I want it to be in the .technic directory, damnit.

Mooseman9 Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Preventing directory attacks with mod drm. No mod author has even heard of your pack, and likely never will. Please stop stirring up panic where there is none. The pack is not a special snowflake.
andrewdonshik Posted March 3, 2013 Author Posted March 3, 2013 No mod author has even heard of your pack, and likely never will. Please stop stirring up panic where there is none. The pack is not a special snowflake. However, mod authors do target the top couple packs, and I kinda want to get up there.
nedned2k Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 I still think we should at least try to get on the good side of the majority of modders....
Mooseman9 Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 However, mod authors do target the top couple packs, and I kinda want to get up there. Well I already upvoted it, but good luck to you. Hopefully it gets past all the crap.
Ysharma Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Not if I have anything to say about it. I am secretly flowerchild who secretly coded all the mods in the tbr pack. I will spread word about you villainy and blow up your useless shit. Down with your legos! edit: Wow that dong princess conversion thing is still active
andrewdonshik Posted March 3, 2013 Author Posted March 3, 2013 I still think we should at least try to get on the good side of the majority of modders.... And I know that that's never going to happen.
Mooseman9 Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 I still think we should at least try to get on the good side of the majority of modders.... What good side for the big modders? EDIT: Changed to be less flamey/idiotic.
nedned2k Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 And I know that that's never going to happen. Because You'll never try. What good side? The good side that, despite popular belief, some modders actually have.
GreenWolf13 Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 What good side? That hurts man, that hurts a lot.
Ysharma Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Now greenwolf is going to blow up all of his worldgen items and blocks. Oh wait.
Mooseman9 Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 That hurts man, that hurts a lot. Sorry Greenwolf, it's usually the big brand-name modders.
nedned2k Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 All this is about is trust. We need to be the better person in the relationship of players and modders if we can't rely on the modders to do so. (which, in many cases, even I'll agree we can't) If we do not trust modders to respect out choice to use their mod in the pack, how can they trust us to use their mod in a way that doesn't give them a bad name? Simply letting people know that we do, in fact, care about the people that have made these amazing creations of code, will allow us to be more well-liked by modders and players alike.
Ysharma Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Magecraft is pretty big brand on this side of the modding lake.

Here's the issue. I'm already on CJ's bad side, and when I start telling modders about use, we'll have to take out mods. When we don't, the DRM gets shoveled on us. Aka, NO.
