Java (TM) Platform SE Binary not working

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium

Java Version: Java 8 update151 (64-bit version)

Whenever I start Wizards Academy R6 mod pack it crashes at the mojang screen. The error message Java Platform SE binary is not responding pops up. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling java and the technic launcher to no avail.
