Skin not showing up

My skin appears as a steve, although on the launcher it shows that I do have my minecraft skin. I can't find any videos on youtube to help me, no forums, and no friends that have downloaded technic...

Mojang dropped support for older versions of MC. You will get the same thing if you run vanilla MC on 1.5.2

If you listen closely, you will notice there aren't any vanilla sounds either. Also dropped by Mojang.

If you want sounds and skin you need to play 1.7.10 or newer

I have the same problem but I'm playing on Tekkit Legends it was created in 1.7.10. The sounds are there but no one on my server has there own skin only steve skins, in singleplayer too.
