oz1999 Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 I think the author of optifine doesn't deserve having a donate button on technicpack.net/donate because he no longer allows it to be in Technic/Tekkit, etc... Quote
Moderators Munaus Posted February 15, 2013 Moderators Posted February 15, 2013 And the fact that we are using his mod and are truly thankful for it should be ignored? Quote
Torezu Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 And the fact that we are using his mod and are truly thankful for it should be ignored? He's referring to the fact that the author of OptiFine has specifically prohibited it from being included in any mod pack. However, it's very easy to install it yourself, and I believe a well-made mod still deserves recognition. It stays where it is unless one of the admins says otherwise. Quote

Lothos Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 I think we need to add an email to the button so that the author receives a "PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LET US DISTRIBUTE" banner with every donation :) Quote

Luckily, you aren't the arbiter of who deserves what. It's a good mod, and a lot of work went, and continues to go, into it. Quote

That is a great way to show that modpacks should be able to include Optifine in them. /sarcasm Quote
