Smartoad
I am getting the error message: Error receiving information from selected pack: (ever mod except hack/mine). I downloaded the client about a week ago, and I am not really sure how any of it works to be honest, so changing URLS and such is something I cant test to see if it works. Cheap Shot
Maybe make sure no empty space has gotten in anywhere? Like a space at the end or start? For Smartoad I'm not sure. The hack/mine thing is curious because it rings a bell for me. I'll ask about it.

jfjohnny5
Is anyone still getting this problem? We found out why it was happening and dealt with it days ago but it seems like people are still talking about it. I'm still getting this error. It keeps tells me there's an error in parsing. I've tried both www. and beta. I've also tried running as Admin. I get the parsing error every time I paste the link. Also, I just downloaded the new launcher for the first time today. So, I'm not using an older version of it or anything.
CreeperTim123
Erm...no homo? well maybe, haha just kidding, but the parsing error is back, i think that the website is having connection errors due to so many modpacks, and we may have to wait a while for it work itself out

xezog42
I'm getting this error every day at 18:00 (6pm, German time). I can play modpacks that are already loaded, but I can't install new ones. The site also starts running slower in the evening, which is really a pain as I am not able to keep working on my modpack... You don't need the site to work on your pack Filename: .technic/settings.yml modpack: custom: true directory: launcher\mymodpack build: recommended minecraft: 1.4.7 mymodpackdev: custom: true directory: launcher\mymodpackdev build: recommended minecraft: 1.4.7 mymodpackdev is NOT linked via platform, however the launcher still runs it just fine because the files are still there on my end, so I can freely work on my pack then when I'm good and ready I can pack the dev version up and update the main which IS linked via platform As for the rest of you, be patient, if it's not working right now check your logs, if the error is a timeout then wait an hour and try again
xezog42
Thanks! Really helped me a lot, going to try that out now! EDIT: I just tried it, and after the modpack didn't show up in the launcher, I wanted to look in the settings.yml again, to check if I did anything wrong, but now the only thing that is in the settings.yml is: launcher: directory: C:\Users\XXXXX\AppData\Roaming\.technic before it looked exactly like you said. EDIT2: Btw, the launcher works for me again 20:30 (8:30pm, Still german time)

duckymomo334
So has anyone found a permanent fix? Or is this just going to have to wait until the technic team figure it out? My launcher isn't even letting me access the main packs... Yeah! Me too. M I had the old launcher and I updated it. Now I don't have the default packs and I can't add any new ones. WTF is going on?!? jmguad62
having the same issue here with the pasted url http://www.technicpack.net/api/modpack/mcnarion-modpack (should it be mcnation, like the actual name?) giving an error message that reads "Invalid Technic Platform delivery URL." I just loaded the Technic Launcher this evening (U.S. -6:00 GMT), and wanted to add the TEKKIT mod. If anyone has a solution, I would sure appreciate some dialect. I have read through all the trouble shooting that worked for some of you but I have had no luck so far. I even tried to edit the URL to read mcation just in case; no go. Thanks for reading and hopefully someone could give me a solution. Regards, Guad
Zediious
I've found a fix for this problem, it seems silly but for some reason the launcher can only parse URLs that include "www." which the URLs in "Platform URL" bars do not include. Add it manually after pasting and you're good. even after i add www. it still gives me same error :(
