Much, much, much, MUCH better than mine.

Though I do prefer Alienware, or its much more expensive counterpart, Apple.

(Sarcasm ^)

I like a good computer, not like mine (D:<), so I might go with this:

Fabricated Brand Name

Processor - Intel Core i7

Grafx - Da Best 945M 8GB cache

100TB Hard Drive space (for porn, ofc)

RAM - 100TB Ram

That's the kind of computer I want, in about 100 years.

Wait, what? You still want a 100 year old processor in 100 years? I'd go for the new 10000 core!

@OP: Pretty decent computer. Better then what I have nowadays. But not for long!

Not bad. It should serve you well. I recently got a nice big Phantom box, 6core i7 processor, 3.2ghz, 12 gigs of gSkill ripjaw, an Nvidia GTX 550 ti (2 gig graphics card, fuck yeah).

Yesterday i got a message from one of my games saying "We've detected that your computer can utilize our new ULTRA graphics mode, would you like to switch?" It was like christmas.

Nice. But your graphics card is decent, but I'd upgrade your GPU first. I mean, a 200 bucks GPU on a 300 bucks CPU? And just so you know, 2GB graphics is kinda the standard these days.

Only on higher tier computers. This is my first machine with more than 1GB.

This isn't upgraded either, i bought this online about a month ago, so yeah, the GPU is the first thing to get upgraded. probably not until next years tax return though.

That's why I build my own computers, along with the free choice of cases. And it being cheaper.

But for now, I've got everything to complain, with my ATI 9600... :(

"No one will need more than 637 kb of memory for a personal computer." -Bill Gates

LOL.

In 100 years, we'll have quantum computers (one has already been made, though it's only for research), so no need for a 100 core processor...

Ugh... ATI cards...

Also, I don't dislike alienware for their prices, they do some stupid shit sometimes. I took apart a machine a friend was having issues with, and they had a superfluous metal plate blocking and airflow fan.

Which particular flavour of I7 is it? I think there's one full-fat 8-core, the 3980X, but it's not released yet...

EDIT:Hurr durr. At that clock, it's not going to be an LGA2011 CPU, is it now? It's probably a mid-range i7 that's been OC'd, what with it being Alienware.

Go for an Intel processor instead. Even the Pentium beats out that CPU. I'm not a fanboy, but currently intel just has better offerings. Try a i3 2120. Note that you'l also need a different MOBO to support it.

Nah, the bulldozer is pretty strong. Not as flexible or powerful as, say an i7, but better than an i3 for sure.

What's concerning is the piece of crap asus motherboard. I hate them with a passion.

You could try bumping up to the 560Ti GS. That's supposed to be just below a 570, but cheaper.

Actually, for just gaming, Sandy easily beats out bulldozer. Even though the i3 is only dual core and the 6100 is six core, no game uses more than two cores, and so it's wasted. Bulldozer is actually pretty weak. The advantage is that you can overclock a 6100, and you'll also see it perform better when using multi-threaded apps like video editing and whatnot. For gaming, the i3 is better. Both are very, very capably processors, I just think the i3 is better for now ;)

Crysis 2 with 560ti everything maxed:

i3 FPS: average 80 fps,

6100 FPS: average 70 fps
