Are you absolutely sure your name and pass are correct, I just updated, went to log in and was told my details were wrong, reentered my password after clearing the field with a Ctrl+A and delete and got in just fine

Is this only on Technic Launcher? Have you tried the vanilla launcher, provided by Mojang?

Are you certain you are using your Minecraft user and password and not your Technic user and password?

I'm having the same issue.

Valid premium minecraft account, and I'm most certainly trying to log in with my minecraft account. Still I get the invalid credentials message every time. I tried re-downloading both minecraft and the technic launcher, but still no luck. Every forum thread I've seen so far is just full of people accusing people of trying to steal something. Is there any known fix for this problem?

Try temporarily disabling your firewall while logging in? Sometimes stuff gets blocked without your knowledge, it could be happening here.

I finally solved the problem! I was typing in my username the whole time but 'username' means email. You have to type in the email address that you signed up with at minecraft!

Yes, that is true.. mostly. If you have transferred your account to mojang you need to use your email. If you haven't you'll have to use your nickname.
