Going through a portal maxus out memory and makes lag spikes

So when ever I go through a portal or far away from my base the memory fluctuates between 70% and 99% and every time it hits 99% I get a really annoying lag spike. Ive tried almost everything I could find on the net but nothing seems to solve it. Im relatively knowledgeable on computers but nothing incredibly advanced. Btw this in in Attack of the B team just to be clear.

Hey so I sorted it all you have to do is install 64bit java and you can increase your memory to what ever you want so I have 2 gb now and it runs smoothly all the time.
