Whenever i try to open a modpack, it loads it to the point where the title screen is about to show up, and then takes me back to the launcher and says it quit unexpectedly. I can't update java, so i'm looking for a way to get it to work without recent java updates. My current java version is 13.9.8. Help?

If this problem happens with the "built in" packs in the launcher you need to take this to the tracker. If this is only with a custom modpack then:

  • Java "13.9.8" makes no sense. Why can't you update Java?
  • What OS are you using?
  • What modpack?
  • What are your memory settings in the launcher?

I'm using OSX 10.6.8, and all of the built in modpacks don't work. I can't update java because the JRE i need to download doesn't work on my OS.

JRE 7 doesn't run nice with Macs. Atleast from the few reports I have dealt with they havent.

JDK 7 is recommended instead. But I'm unsure if that's compatible with Mac 10.6.8

Since this is a problem you have with all modpacks that the Launcher holds, post the issue on the Tracker / Bug Reports.

Remember to add the logs, without it we can't see what's happening

locking this, since it has nothing to do with pagoda nor custom packs
