Hi, I'm currently rolling together a little private modpack (for now) that after I get the proper permission may go public. But I find the need to have flans mod and content packs installed to reach the goal of what I want this pack to be. Here is my current issue.
-When adding in folder to root directory named "Flan" and adding the content packs, as well as adding the mod into the proper directory, then zipping it just like a would a server without flans, uploading and setting the link. When users download the pack. including me, they are met with a message saying that unzipping the modpack failed and they should contact the modpack author. If I use the exact same files, yet take out the Flan folder and remove the mod, zip and upload that the pack starts fine.I am baffled by this obviously.

Here are the files I am using.

With Flans folder/mod- https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/38905670/GigaCraftV6_1-Flans.zip?dl=1

Without Folder/mod(Working)- https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/38905670/GigaCraftV6.zip?dl=1

I am perplexed at this moment because I see packs like this - http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/details/flans-modpack1234.306296 in which it is working no problems, upon further investigation and downloading the corresponding zip I find that there is indeed a Flans directory in this zip and their pack launches fine.

-If anyone could please look at the files I have posted and inspect them for some sort of error I would be extremely grateful.

In the "with flan's" modpack archive:

  • The binmodpack.jar file has been created in RAR format. All archive files intended for use by the platform must be in ZIP format. That being said, there is seldom any reason to mess with the Forge universal binary jar file. Just download that and rename it to modpack.jar.

That would surely cause the error you are seeing. However, there may or may not be other problems. The rest of the pack is so huge I'm not going to mess with it and just assume that as far as block and item ID conflicts (include the Flan's weapon packs) you know what you are doing.
