I need help about how to advertise a modpack.

Hey guys, I want to help spread the word about my modpack without spamming the forums or shoving it down peoples throats. Any suggestions? (I will only link my modpack if you ask for it, I do not want to use this as free advertising.)

There are no rules how to advertise, only where to post them on this forum.

 

My advice is to check how the others are advertising their modpacks.

Posting what mods you have and links to those mods is always appreciated, atleast by me. I like researching new mods

 

Explaining what the modpack is about, technology, fantasy, exploration or something else is also encouraged

As munaus_7 said and you can go to minecraft forums and advertise there too, but here is better since most people in minecraft forums are looking for vanilla
