Texture Pack - Faithful Pack [x32] with some mods updated.
dragonshardz replied to gugglle's topic in Scribble Parlour
Incorrect. There is a 64x version of Sphax which support Tekkit to the same degree as the 128x version. -
Texture Pack - Faithful Pack [x32] with some mods updated.
dragonshardz replied to gugglle's topic in Scribble Parlour
Great pack, absolutely nothing is missing. The only issue I have come across is that all the advanced BC pipes (Item Teleport, etc.) were displaying the same texture as oil because block_texture.png for them was fucked up. Inside the texture pack folder, open up /net/minecraft/buildcraft/zeldo/gui. There are two files in there we need to worry about - block_texture.png and block_texture_override.png. Those two files should look exactly the same, but block_texture.png is messed up. Simply copy the other one - block_texture_override.png -, paste it as a copy, delete block_texture.png, and rename the copy of block_texture_override.png to block_texture.png. -
Said blue targeting lasers are also very useful for making sure your lines are straight when building.

Technic Launcher installing and launching Vanilla minecraft
dragonshardz replied to Metathiax's question in Technic Launcher
Okay, first, the mods are likely to come down hard on you for doubleposting. Try using the edit button next time, maybe? Second, I don't quite understand what's going on here - you launched the Technic Launcher and it loaded up Vanilla? Did you set it to launch Technic by using the drop-down in the upper-left corner of the launcher? -
OP stuck in unable to read mode i had OP reading yesterday but now it just does not seem to know how to read, i have tried looking at its brain but all is working and everything in the NEI.cfg file can be changed, but alas OP does not realize that you can set lock recipe mode to false and be a dirty cheater ive tried many solutions to fix but no results that show comprehension

Jacketed wire connects right to dispensers. Timer set to 200ms, repeater set to 3. Fairly decent speed.

dragonshardz replied to crazyconner10's topic in The Whale Box
Funny, all I've got is a Core 2 Duo E6750 and a pair of GTS 250s in SLI. Technic, and every other game I play, runs like a dream. Sounds like the problem is BCAC. -
Looks like it never fully downloads for me - I only ever have the minecraft and modpack .jars

Um, Tebrin, I think you meant to say open minecraft.jat and delete meta-inf. EDIT: Does nothing for me on both Windows and Linux.

hindos, I present you with an image of a top hat for being an exceedingly classy gentleman like myself. Good show, old bean. -
Well, I assumed you were from the USA. My mistake. I'd totally check your IP if I had admin powers, but I don't. In any case, that'd be an exercise in futility, because I really could not care less where you live. Looking at the grammar and spelling in someone's post is a perfectly reasonable thing to do, as proper spelling and grammar indicate that the poster took the time to think through what he wrote rather than dashing off an incoherent jumble of verbiage. Regardless of the fact that you speak Romanian and Hungarian, you can obviously understand my elevated vocabulary well enough to realize that I am insulting you quite deftly without ever resorting to foul language while casting aspersions upon your veracity. Thusly, I should expect you to reply with at least a sixth-grader's level of grammar and spelling, which means using proper capitalization and punctuation, placing apostrophes in their correct spots, and avoiding the use of chatspeak. Furthermore, while Hungarian and Romanian are not similar to English, they are related to German. I have a German friend who far outclasses me in English vocabulary, and this friend has, presumably, only taken English as a foreign language class in school or has learnt the language via osmosis while frequenting public spaces such as these. Thus, I still expect you to meet my minimum standards, and until it is obvious that you are making an effort to do so, I shall continue to treat you like the imbecile you clearly are.

It doesn't even take half a minute to notice the "Mod Select" button.

Correction, I was (and still am) Curator of the Big Damn Suggestion List. Which is a thread I started to keep the forum from becoming cluttered with suggestions for mods that people wanted KakerMix to add to the Technic pack. As an addendum, my last post in this thread was directed at fwend47. Aside from your ill-worded demand for a return to the original installer, you have shown yourself to be a fairly classy gent. Speaking of fwend47: Good sir, this is the point where you have two options: 1. Accept that Technic/Tekkit WILL be staying with this new launcher, no matter how much you complain. B. Get bent and stop using Technic/Tekkit. -
You know. somedude, I find it hard to believe that you are a college student when your grammar and spelling are worse than that of my 13 year old brother. And his spelling is quite atrocious. As for your arguments, no, the Technic Team moved to the new launcher because they wanted things to be easier for both the user and the developer. Not because Mojang asked them to. I can, in fact, prove this because I know a Mojang employee who has a direct line to Notch himself. As for your complaints about not being able to afford it, I do sympathize. It is quite difficult to find a job in the USA these days. However, I somehow managed to afford Minecraft while living off $300 a month and going to college full-time. So, in short, you need to man the fuck up and stop acting like an entitled child.

I do believe that what you are requesting is an impossibility. "Little" in comparison to the rest of my screen. Since you are surely running at a resolution of 640x480, the button should be quite visible on your end. Quite. Would you care for some tea? I have an excellent selection. If that is not to your taste, perhaps coffee? Or something stronger?

dragonshardz replied to Cptn_Cleator's topic in The Whale Box
If, sir, you took more than half a millisecond to look over the launcher and declare it a piece of crap, then you would notice that the button is quite conspicuously placed. However, if you continue in this vein, I am sure the Technic Team, which has worked very hard to get all these mods to cooperate, will bow to your singularly entitled demands and make a version of Technic 6 just for you. Isn't not having to do a damn thing except complain to get what you want just wonderful? -
Translation: "I, a fellow with the ignominious name of fwend47, am sorry to disturb you while you play with the new toys contained in the excellent Technic 6 mod compilation, but I, to put it nicely, am a dumb bastard. "I think, and am sure others agree, that the inclusion of a button clearly labeled "Mod Select" near the login dialog in the launcher is an excellent idea which enables those who run on older computers to disable mods which degrade their game's performance. "I also commend you for requiring users to input their valid and legal credentials in a secure fashion, thus helping to prevent dishonest or lazy people from illegitimately acquiring Minecraft without paying for it. "In short, thank you for making Technic easier-to-use than it ever has been before, and I hope that you never go back to the old way of doing things. "Yours truly, a classy gentleman named fwend47 who speaks proper English."

dragonshardz replied to Cptn_Cleator's topic in The Whale Box
It works for most people. And, for the record, you can change what mods load. Handy little "mod select" button near the login dialog. They see me postin', with no content. -
Re: JAVA ERROR FIX (Read!) It would be the same in Vista. *doesn't use it Vista anymore*

Modded Launcher for not premuim minecraft users
dragonshardz replied to _uaBArt_'s question in Technic Launcher
I am both intrigued by this mysterious MediaFire link and the reactions to it, and afraid of the possible horrors it might contain. In an effort to preserve what little remains of my sanity, I think I shall avoid clicking upon it. -
IF IT ISN'T BROKE DON'T TRY TO FIX IT!
dragonshardz replied to Cptn_Cleator's topic in The Whale Box
Let me translate this: "Hello, Cptn_Cleator again with more complaints. I'm an idiot with no understanding of how to use the new launcher and am not willing to put in the effort to make it work correctly. Even though you have made more work for yourselves in the name of making it easier and more efficient for this excellent mod compilation to be updated and distributed, I am an entitled arse who can't be bothered to spend a few minutes exploring what the new launcher does. To that end, I hereby demand that you cater solely to me and redo all your hard work for free so I can avoid learning new things. Yours, Stupid" -
A Statement About Offline Mode And Piracy
dragonshardz replied to Cheap Shot's topic in The Whale Box
TL; DR for you numbskulls out there: PIRACY IS BAD, DON'T DO IT AND DON'T ASK FOR HELP DOING IT HERE. -
I'm not Technic Staff, and likely won't be, but I assure you that the launcher download from the Technic Team is safe and secure. I play on a server that also uses Spoutcraft to distribute client modifications, and there have been zero reports of account misuse due to using the Spoutcraft launcher. For that matter, if KakerMix and Co. were planning on hijacking your accounts or credit cards or whatever, it would be much easier to distribute a single mod or hack Mojang's database than it would be to create and run a thriving mod pack that relies totally on third-party developers.
