  1. If you want that, you'll be better off buying a desktop rather than a laptop, as the latter is very, very difficult to upgrade.
  2. I'll direct youto this as well, it's a fairly good launching point for a decent build. Gaming beasts are expensive, but the build I linked provides pretty good performance as-is. If you like, give me a budget and I'll see what I can come up with on PCPartPicker.
  3. I just grabbed the first image off of the main page of imgur, let me see if I can fix the link. E: Fixed, I'd used the wrong link. :hurr:
  4. Good to hear, I'm looking forward to that update.
  5. Alternatively, he can just ask REAL nice and get banned.
  6. I also heartily recommend NewEgg. If you want to build your own computer rather than simply assembling it, I also heartily recommend PCPartPicker as the go-to place to build a computer fairly painlessly and get the most for your money - despite being awesome, Newegg doesn't always have the lowest prices. E: Also, the # of sticks of RAM doesn't matter much quite as much as the amount in practice, dual-channel is in general just as good as quad-channel unless you're overclocking. Using 2 sticks of 4GB also leaves plenty of room for upgrades later on.
  7. Which is rather irritating, to be honest. Hopefully this functionality is possible, and if it is, hopefully it gets added to the launcher.
  8. You don't. Upload your image to imgur.com and place your link inside image tags. For example, this bit of code Make this image appear:
  9. Presumably. Anycase, does anyone how to/if we can change the image in the modpack selector and the window title after someone installs a custom modpack?
  10. "wat do u do" with the English you are supposed to speak in a coherent manner when someone mangles it this badly?
  11. The YouTube video isn't blurry in 1080p. A screenshot of what the contents of your custom zip look like would help, as well as the UTL to it. Also, yes, it would be better as...not exactly a bug report but in that general direction.
  12. 1: As far as I know, no. You can host the zip somewhere and provide your users with a link to it. If you want to do something for your own personal use, just host it in your Dropbox, copy public link, and paste in the field. 2: I believe custom zips are set per-modpack. Don't quote me on this, but it seems like the kind of functionality the team would include. 3: Yes, it does. Structure is detailed on the page about custom zips: http://www.technicpack.net/custom-zip-build-your-own-private-modpacks/ I have a question of my own, will Technic's flavor of Vanilla load a custom /bin/modpack.jar? Oooh, looks like there's support for custom modpacks without overwriting Vanilla? Nice! I wonder how you change the splashes for them, though...
  13. So, what's the name? Model number? Serial number? Something so I can actually take a look at this thing?
  14. I find this hard to believe.
  15. I post dumb shit all the time? I suppose "all the time" means "over the past week", then?
  16. I find I am still out of fucks to give. Seeya never then, powersthatbe85.
  17. Wait, another one of these? Let attempt to give a fuck.
  18. So you're stalking my comment history? Nice. I'm a snarky bugger. Too bad. I'm not arrogant, I just like to pee on people who present themselves in a manner than makes them look dumb. And there are a lot of people like that here.
  19. Um no, not /thread. I put it in a perfectly understandable way.
  20. Lookit you, waving this around: The fact that he got a three-day vacation from the forums leads me to believe it was not civil, and his atrociously bad grasp of his own language makes it rather poorly put. Just my $.02. Getting back on track...well, I actually don't have much to say about building new computers that hasn't already been said. Except that building one yourself is pretty fun and definitely a rewarding experience.
  21. ...A video guide. Really? Here's an idea, take the ten seconds to direct Chrome and Opera users directly to your userscript. (Chrome users will need to download the .js file, then open the folder that the file was downloaded to, then click on the 4 bars in the upper-right hand corner of their browser, select tools > extensions, left click, then drag and drop the .js file into your extensions browser.) Firefox users will need to install Greasemonkey first, and there is a guide to do so at the provided link. (Click on "How do I use this?") This is far more helpful and contains orders of magnitude more effort than your post does.
  22. It wasn't something I thought was worth reporting. It was stupid and slightly insulting, yes, but that's the kind of thing one gets used to the Internet. Didn't feel it was worth a moderator's time to report someone for being stubbornly obtuse. 'Twas simply easier to walk away from it.
  23. Yeah, I prefer headset myself too. All I can say is, don't get a Razer headset.
  24. ...I swear twice in one post, and suddenly I'm not keeping my cool? Whatever. I'm done.
