  1. I've always liked the Russian cover of this song. (It's the OP for Bokurano, nothing to do with D-Gray man)

I keep catching myself singing the chorus while I clean up my computer for archival.

  2. Courtesy of one gameboy, have some touhou.

This song has been stuck in my head for seven hours straight. Enjoy.

  3. Awesome!  That did the trick... I wish I'd found this before... now all I need is the time to try all the mods I had to bypass before :)

    Thanks so much, you rock!

You're totally welcome, I've run into similar issues before.

(You might want to edit the signiture out of your post though, kind of a rule here.)

  4. Hello all.

I've tried to install the 64 bit java before and never had much luck.  Not that more of the mod packs require more memory, I thought I'd better figure out how to make it work.

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate, 16GB RAM, dual GTX 560 Ti graphics cards, and lots of hard drive space.

Whenever I try to install the 64 bit java, it wants to know about my browsers and such.  I'm running both Chrome and Internet Explorer.  I don't get what the browser has to do with anything since Minecraft and Technic don't run in a browser.  It seems like every time I try to install the 64 bit version of Java, it ends up that Minecraft decide it isn't installed at all and I end up having to go back and reinstall the 32 bit version instead.

Am I choosing the wrong Java install?  I know there is Java machine, java runtime, etc. etc. but I don't understand the difference between them all.

It's getting very frustrating... Here I've got 16GB of memory and my games are running out of memory?  grrrrrr....   I'm just about ready to hssssssst... bang!

Try using the windows 64-bit installer from here: https://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

Don't go too crazy giving minecraft all that RAM though. I know it sounds counter-intuitive, but Java essentially barfs if you give it too much ram. I'd stick with around 2-3 GB depending on the pack.

  5. So Byte suggested that we create a resource for sharing and discussing our favourite songs. I think that's a good idea. So, I created this thread. No idea if it will amount to anything, or die out in a few days. We don't mind, we just want to share our tunes. So please, share your jam with us!

Partially because the DJ is down for maintaince right now.

    So... uh.

    Yeah.

    Done with an NES.

  6. I used to be able to build things that looked good, but when I start working on a city, I just don't follow the rules of building in Minecraft. I know, I want to kill me too.

    *snip*

There's just some strange thought process, "I am going to need to build a lot, so it needs to be generic." An SPD can do that to you. I used to be a good builder. How can I go repetitive without being like this? I know I can build, but just recently....

As pointed out above, adding details and texture/color variation to buildings can help a ton.

Try this: Build ONE good building. Just ONE. This should be a unique building. This should be the masterpiece building.

Now clone the heck out of it and put it everywhere.

Now look at the mess. Look around and take note of what works and what doesn't. Tear all of them down but one and go from there.

(At least this works for me.)

  7. I killed Cyball in about 10-15 rounds.

    Anyone care?

Come on, though, seeing as I got the game yesterday....

That's a marked improvement, for sure. Let me know if you want to play a game later.
