  2. Maybe if this status is witty enough, someone will finally love me.

  3. The hard mode jakj has planned will resolve your concerns very quickly once released, rest assured.
  4. Snarks and recreation.

  5. Uh... Hmm. My best guess is that this is a java issue... Maybe try java 6 or reinstalling java 7?
  6. As the size of an explosion increases, the number of social situations it is incapable of resolving approaches zero.

  7. True. It would also allow you to expand to 8gb of RAM if your hardware supports that. What? The full version of Win7? How on earth are you getting it for 40$? Regardless, Linux would be cheaper and depending on your distro, will leave more resources for minecraft anyways, so unless you want to spend some decent cash, I'd go with Linux.
  8. Bwahhhahahaha.
  9. I'm not sure that editing the registry will fix this problem, but here's a link. Remember that editing the registry can be incredibly dangerous though, you should only do this if you are 100% sure you know what you're doing. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/235994 Frankly though, I doubt that that will fix your problem. Can you give me the forge log that is produced when minecraft crashes as you described?
  10. You could do that if you wanted to pay ~100$ US for it. Might be a bit much to justify for just making minecraft work better though...
  11. Hello. I am a prince from a country you have never heard of before. Would you like some money?

I do think you have forgotten your position within my empire, you con others then give me the funds so I may run my vast network of sleeper agents.

Oh, you boss man? My bad. I go bother someone else for money for your empire. (But if you change mind, you call, okay?)

  12. Do you have a favorite brand of crayons?

I posted a picture of a bikini but apparently that's not a valid message

      Apparently not. Kagamagaloonabroki.

  14. You might try holding the alt and control keys when you close the errant window. That should, (in theory), cause windows to save the location and size of the window for when you start it up next.
  15. Uh... It's a tad advanced. You should probably ask your local techie to do this, but you would want to install a dual-boot of 64-bit Linux on your hard drive and run the launcher from that. Oh, and next time you have a problem, please put it in the bug board, instead of here.
  16. If you have hardware that supports that, then yes, that would be an option.
  17. 32-bit java can only utilize 1 GB of ram. A fact that we can do nothing about
  18. I vote for/would prefer 3, because that would offer both the ability to trans-locate through obstacles as long as there is space, (like for secret underground bases), and the ability to guesstimate distances and have it auto-stop when it hits something as long as you are reasonably accurate and there isn't a space behind what you were aiming for, (like for the drop pods theprolo was talking about), all without being too super slow or frustrating. I can think of a few interesting builds for this mechanic already. Wouldn't 4 essentially just be a faster-moving version of the existing carriage motor? EDIT: I just realized that my first case, (being able to skip through obstacles), is already somewhat covered by the trans-locator, but you have to have traveled to the location first to place the other trans-locator in the pair... But this would allow you to do such without having visited the place already... and would still be handy for the situations solution number 4 covers without being too resource heavy... I guess I still vote for 3.
  19. If a player tried to trans-locate somewhere using this new drive where blocks already existed, would it just not let them or would Bad Thingsā„¢ happen?
  20. So where did your avatar come from anyways? Did you make it?

Yeah. I first randomly drew it while bored in a science lesson, and then it just stuck. Then Fluffy came from Soupa's art thread

  21. A guide has been posted for some of the setup and things you may want to consider with hexxit already. Here you are. http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/setting-up-a-hexxit-server-fix-crashes-dupe-glitches-griefs-more.50495/
  22. This is what I've seen most often recommended for that. http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/187737-minecraft-land-generator/
  23. (I've never run a dedicated hexxit server, so take my advice with a grain of salt. I may be totally wrong.) Personally, I'd go with at the very very least 2, but I tend to be way more lag-tolerant than most people. From what I've heard, hexxit is very server-heavy with all of the worldgen. Pre-genning the world is a really good way to reduce the load from worldgen. As for the ram, I'd start with two and then upgrade if that proves to not be enough after pre-genning. But remember, RAM isn't the only thing that effects server performance, especially when you are running a pack with so many mods. Make sure to get enough CPU horsepower as well.
  24. Not a ton, but it's nice to be able to have everything in one launcher. I use it as a throwaway instance for testing out mods. We really don't know when the launcher will update to 1.6 though. My guess would be, "soonish"
