Did some quick testing One of those is the wraith light block (Wraith Lights create fake blocks to project light) Another is the forcefield block Half of a door, a blank sign And a server crash on placement None of these seem to be necessary for users to have as they are used directly by the plugins If you find any blocks to the contrary then determine which mod it belongs to and bring it up with the author

  9. The Custom pack 1, 2 and 3 stuff is part of the old launcher, the new launcher can support a lot more than 3 custom packs This is an image of the new launcher It was rolled out 14th Feb 2013
  10. Unless you are having a problem with unnamed items this is not a bug 1 such example is the reinforced door, the top half is unnamed in NEI

  12. It is the pre-platform launcher, download the new launcher from the website Can't say for sure for your world but chances are minecraft deleted everything it didn't recognise

But seriously, they are "working on" the official modding API, Forge is trying to give modders something to work with now so that modders don't have to edit the base files (cross compatibility) and Mojang and just going along knowing full well the modding community is going to work around every change they make, and because the community is working around the developers, the developers won't work around the community

Oh noes, you have uncovered my plot to gain moderator powers on the technic forums [/sarcasm] Pointing out that it's a common issue caused by other software and other people is just a copy paste from the many other topics with this issue Saying "don't blame the devs" is just common practice for just about anyone that has made anything and had to deal with people complaining about how something is broken and it's all their fault Honestly, if I got moderator powers just for defending developers then I'd be visiting about 23 forums every day to moderate every developer site I have ever visited

  21. The launcher uses separate installations for each modpack and vanilla
  22. Problem found Change your modpack link so that instead of www. it's dl. Also dropbox will shutdown your dl. links if you create too much traffic

First, wrong section, Classic has it's own discussion area Second, Classic uses BukkitForge which was abandoned so they could continue to develop the pack in the form of Lite If you classic players want the 256 then that's tough shit So unless a developer want's to correct me on this, Classic is only supported because there isn't a viable alternative to ForgeBukkit It's that or Classic is support only because there is Lite, and Lite can have BukkitForge installed PS. Stability doesn't mean shit, as soon as you change something you sacrifice the stability you had for the hope that it will be as stable after the change
  24. If you are adding the portal gun then change the portal gun ID rather than the mystcraft ID If you insist on removing Mystcraft then delete all mystcraft files from the server and client If this fails then respond with client and/or server logs of the error
  25. Install forge to modpack.jar or simply copy the tekkit lite modpack.jar to your pack
