  1. Try installing the Java JDK 8 on his Mac instead of the JRE.
  2. Please always use a pastebin (like http://pastebin.com ) service for logs instead of pasting them into the thread. [07:13:25] [Client thread/ERROR]: The mod statues (Statues) requires mods [asielib] to be available Asie's 1.7.10 port of Statues mod requires asielib dependency mod: http://mc.shinonome.ch/doku.php?id=wiki:statues
  3. So, the problem you are having is because Calclavia can't be bothered to make sure his mods work with each other. The current version of MFFS doesn't work with the current version of its dependency mod ResonantEngine. Neither do the the one-revision-back versions. You'll either need to remove those mods or contact the author to get a recommendation for which versions actually work together.
  4. You'll really need to provide the Platform API URL (the URL one pastes into the Launcher to add the pack) for us to be able to help you.
  5. Here's some info on where and how to get your mods: Here's some info on using my BareBonesPack to build a custom modpack for the platform: Here's some general info on the overall process:
  6. Go to the pack settings and look at the labels around where you upload the graphics. It explicitly lists the correct dimensions.
  7. Add Lexmanos' legacy java fixer to your server's /mods/ folder: http://t.co/9olGYnwZBi
  8. copy.com works pretty well for a lot of folks (myself included).
  9. @Badcholo: I never attacked or insulted you. When someone comes into the forums and seemingly attempts to countermand suggestions and advice (specifically regarding memory allocation, client/server co-mingling, scalability, etc.) which has been tried and tested by a large community of users it is our duty to make sure that the original poster of the thread is made aware of the community consensus. I am not here to tell anyone what to do (hence my frequent use of the pronoun "one" instead of "you"). I'm here to make observations and relay information. How that information is received is up to the reader. I am more than willing to have a conversation concerning specific points related to maintenance, setup, troubleshooting, configuration, etc. provided that conversation includes specific, relevant, and non-anecdotal contributions. (the number of hyphens in this paragraph is too high )
  10. Something doesn't make any sense here. Are you certain that the error is exactly the same as before? I find it hard to believe that a newly generated chunk/region has a ticking Ender IO conduit in it. Can you post up the most recent crash report again? Edit: I decided to do another test. I used your level.dat and seed to create my own server (Cauldron with Forge #1272), connected with your client and was able to teleport to (9600,63,-9381) with no troubles. Running the server with only Forge #1272 yields the same success.
  11. Save the Launcher executable (presumably TechnicLauncher.exe) in a folder of your choice. Drag it to the desktop using the RIGHT mouse button and select "Create Shortcut".
  12. @Badcholo: I stand by my recommendations with a raft of empirical evidence and with adherence to recommendations by mod authors and other folks likely much more skilled than I am. If you have specific points you would care to share which would counter my examples or recommendations, which you can back up with hard evidence, I'm always open to learning something new or correcting faulty positions. That being said, as for your own "Brains" modpack, after testing by myself and others it doesn't seem to be functional (throws an array index out of bounds error upon SSP world creation). Might want to take a look at that.
  13. The local mod and config files (assuming you are pushing configs) only get modified by the Launcher when the pack updates its version number. Any mods a user adds to the /mods/ folder will not be touched by simple version updates (but would be with a pack reset). If someone adds OptiFine (or any other mods) to the /mods/ folder it will stay that way until they reset the pack. If you remove a mod from a pack build that mod will be removed from the client (from both the /cache/ and /mods/ folders).
  14. A troll? Yeah, that sounds about right. Is it easy to just delete a region file which could (and on any decent sized server almost certainly will) contain any number of other user's builds? Yes, in SSP, if you haven't built anything in that region file go right ahead and delete it. If you have to tell half a dozen users that the bases they've been building up for the past six months have been wiped out because you couldn't be bothered to use a simple tool to fix the offending block/chunk you are: 1) A bad administrator. 2) Going to lose a lot of players. Rolling specific region files back to one of your hourly snapshots (you are keeping hourly/daily/weekly snapshots, yes?) is a much more viable solution in the event of something more than the corruption of a few blocks or entities. Sharing factual, accurate and relevant information to resolve people's problems does not make one a troll. Sharing anecdotal success stories to folks who may not understand the impact of those actions can be harmful to a community.
  15. Yes, indeed. It lists an exact block location. MCEdit that block out. It could be something that just got corrupted. That shouldn't happen under normal circumstances, but it is possible.
  16. I remember seeing that at some point, but no longer do on any of my servers. Hmm. Which server/version are you running?
  17. Please provide a download link to your level.dat and r.-19.14.mca region file.
  18. Since I don't have your modpack link, platform pack page, specific server configuration, etc. I can only state that the server is dying when it tries to load that precise block at that precise location. There may be other blocks causing issue, that that one is surely broken.
  19. The crash report showed an array index out of bounds exception loading the block at that specific location.
  20. Do some google searches on using MCEdit. Make sure you local folder structure mimics that on the server. For instance, you could make a "test" folder. You would then have /test/level.dat and /test/region/r.-19.14.mca.
  21. Define "filling up". A log file in excess of 100M should be of little concern. You can still load that into a decent text editor in seconds.
  22. Download your level.dat file and the /region/ file for that block location. Edit it with MCEdit, then re-upload the /region/ DAT file.
  23. MCEdit loads anvil format worlds. This includes both local SSP save games and SMP world folders. You would open the SMP world (while the server is shut down) just like you would load a SSP save.
  24. Location: World: (-9442,50,7485) Something is definitely off if you truly have deleted the region in which that chunk/block resides and are still crashing. What is at that exact block location? MCEdit is your friend.
  25. That download URL is returning a page saying that it has generated too much traffic and is disabled.
