Sadly, being probated is something people strive to earn. It's not handed out willy-nilly. Some people just work harder than others at it. Though there is an art to it, you gotta make sure you only earn yourself a probation, not a ban. Unfortunately, many of those people that tested out that form of art aren't around any more.

Mobs Dealing 3x Normal Damage on Tekkit 2.0 Server
SimpleGuy replied to Gusmanak's question in Tekkit Classic
Moved this to the Tekkit Bug Board, hopefully other SMP gentlemen will be able to help you out now. :) -
There already is scaffolding. However, they act like ladders (so you don't fly really) and they have to start on a solid ground block and can only extend two blocks horizontally from the main vertical shaft. Recipe is: 3 planks across the top row, 1 stick in the middle of the middle row, 1 stick each in the bottom left and bottom right corners.

COMPLAINT ABOUT POWER ABUSE
SimpleGuy replied to jecob1234567890's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
Totally came in here thinking "Is someone upset that they got banned from these forums? Must drink their tears!" Left disappointed. -
Thank you. From:The Community To:The Technic/Tekkit Crew
SimpleGuy replied to MetalWorks3's topic in Off Topic Discussion
I don't work on Technic/Tekkit. No thanks for me, it seems. :'( That's ok though, I get to enjoy pushing back the tide of idiots. And their cries of pain and whinery are all the thanks I need. -
I'm not sure how much more you want to continue the kid + dad plotline, but I think it is hilarious. A dad showing his son how to survive in the minecraft world... lots of potential there (and it doesn't have to be lewd)!

Also, the person cheating has to be server OP, if I recall correctly.

I really like your train of thought. Just wanted to clarify that the unbalancing factor is not just due to the exponential growth (no matter how slow). It's that the exponential growth can replace nearly all other growth due to EMC's near-universal applicability. For instance, in vanilla you can only farm crops so fast (no matter how big your fields are) so you always gain wheat (and thus bread) at a constant rate. However, as long as you're using parts of your EMC generated to make a new collector and the rest of the EMC to make bread, suddenly you can make bread at an increasing rate.

This post is bad in so many ways.

Without specific details on what you did with the Tekkit 2.0 .zip file, what you moved over to the extracted zip, what order you changed things and upgraded your world etc. then it's going to be difficult to help you. :/

I've only heard legends about the Notch-crotch. Is it really square?

Tekkit 2.0 (Any updates, possible release dates?)
SimpleGuy replied to Jack439's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
So you want an ETA for when you know the ETA? You'll have that answer when Tekkit 2.0 comes out. -
Pretty sounds? What pretty sounds?
SimpleGuy replied to Kmartinator's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
If you're running 1.1.4, did you do a full install, custom, or minimal install? If you did custom, did you check Matmos's Additional Sounds? -
My bad, didn't realize MV Solar Arrays still produced UU Matter at a respectable rate. :)

A "Proper" CASUC in my eyes would be one where the pipes are allowed to connect to a reactor chamber and use 6 chambers and 4 stacks of ice (as that would reach the theoretical max). Unfortunately the way BC was coded prevents this. You could make it (albeit it wouldn't be automated) by hand-shoving ice in as quick as possible, but that's not what OP wants.
-
Did you read the Known Bugs?
-
-
One of the downsides to having a CASUC is that you can only have a maximum of 5 additional chambers, because the pipes you use to insert the ice have to connect to the main nuclear reactor block, not one of its additional chambers.

I am not sure what Simon and Lewis demand of the comic strips, but a lot of them play off of them in the comic. I like how you don't necessarily always do so, and tend to incorporate what they've done in recent videos (at least, I think you released your Skyrim comics when they did some Skyrim videos). A good reason to keep people coming back to the comics is to have a certain theme (whether its a joke style, character style, theme, etc) which is going to be difficult if it isn't necessarily coupled with "Simon and Lewis". Some ideas (featuring Simon & Lewis): [li]Keep the "Hey Simon/Hey Lewis" at the computer theme going strong[/li] [li]"What Yogbox would look like as a Broadway production" (spiders crawling on the audience, anyone?)[/li] [li]Play off the Dethklok "Gear" helper theme, make up stories about what happens to the people "recording" the MC videos they make/made. (To clarify - there's a lot of death in Dethklok's audience/stagehands in morbid but dark-humor ways)[/li] [li]What would happen if the Yogscast's house were to be a museum and fans came to visit.[/li] [li]Simon and Lewis trying to be famous in the real world. (Honeydew whips out some flint and steel in a grocery aisle to remind them, Lewis does his half snort laugh for half a year.)[/li] Some ideas (featuring not Simon & Lewis) [li]What the "support characters" of the Israphel videos do during "off-season" (Israphel trying to do community service, Fumblemore getting sued for copyright infringement from JK Rowling)[/li] [li]"Average Steve" and his adventures (highlight the supidly happenings/adventures of the average MC user)[/li] [li]"DIY Channel", where people try to show you how to build/hunt/craft/milk cows/cook (think Martha Stewart) but using minecraft recipes instead (stack a 2m wide by 3m tall by 1m thick of lumber and call it a door, anyone?)[/li] [li]"Real world meets minecraft limits", where catastrophes happen like planes de-materialize after 128m high (ceiling limit in MC), thirsty people digging for water underneath them destroy the "block" underneath them and fall into a lava pit, or just hit bedrock, etc.[/li] More random ideas. [li]What would have happened in the minecraft (or real, for that matter) world if <insert famous/historical figure> played minecraft?[/li] [li]I can't think of any more [/li] Please steal these ideas, no credit wanted.

Inside: Someone with no empathy and a sense of entitlement!
SimpleGuy replied to slicer812's topic in The Whale Box
Re: Craftbukkit jar/Tekkit update? Whoa! Look at that smiley face! He must mean seriousness is serious in this thread. OK, I can be serious too. (Poot) Look here! This is probably the kindest thing you'll see if you keep up your entitlement attitude. Because the only thing Tekkit owes you is... well, poop in one hand and keep begging with the other. See which fills up first. This is great advice on how to become an arrogant asshole. -
Piracy requires internet. Unless there's some secret underground trade of people handing USB sticks to each other in dark alleyways. Also, please take a look at the stickies before posting. Locked before the P word gets brought up again. P-word is Poop.

I wasn't, a friend of mine named Chris did though. If you knew him you'd understand, but the general gist is that if it's free, he will exploit it. Why have a HV Solar array when you could spend 1/256 the resources and still get stuff free? That's how his mind thinks.

Hm, that's very odd. Well, the only reasonable thing you can do in the meantime is to brush up on your redstone wiring skills and build a circuit that does exactly what you want the old fashioned way. :/
