    crash!!

Posting for the sake of bumping will shorten your half life on these forums by several orders of magnitude. Don't do it. Also don't double post. Our community here actually takes the time to read, so as long as the post has that "new" icon to them then they'll more than likely read it. Consider this your only warning. And a free bump.
  3. Jay? you're way too nice here on the Bug Boards. To OP: Use the bug report. 3 day minimum probation sentence To Vextor: Move aside, big boys do work here on the Bug Report Forums.
  4. I believe this is true as well. However, if a mod gets updated to a Minecraft version that isn't the Minecraft version Technic/Tekkit is running, then it will not automatically pull the update.
  5. 1.21 Gigawatts!?!? Also, that's one hell of a nuclear reactor (just sayin').
  6. All this talk about Greek gods in schools and no mention of Hymen, the god of marriage ceremonies?

    Mod?

Could you use the Technic Pack Suggestion thread? I've tried to get you to read by stickying it, but it won't work.
  8. Well, there's the whole SERVER SECTION of the forums you missed... locking

  10. Re: Next Go-Around, please configure the pack better for balance and gameplay That's the thing, we're not going to promote some sort of "default" play. We don't have "Official Tekkit" servers for this very reason (among others). We don't try to unify everyone that plays the pack into one mindset. Thus there is no balancing for the "overall". Like I mentioned before, the main purpose of the Tekkit part of the launcher is so servers don't need a 20-30 step guide on how to download certain mods, where to put them in your client, what config you need to edit, etc. It's a canvas, allowing server admins to say to its members "Get the launcher and press play" instead, while they edit backend stuff as they want. And we're not about to draw a line and say "This is default, sorry your oil buckets have negative energy returns now because our Marketing dept. said that would help us get the Greenpeace demographic." By not making a "default", we don't say "fuck them" to any one group, because who wants to be left out of the cool tree fort club?
  11. Re: Next Go-Around, please configure the pack better for balance and gameplay So how exactly does the team balance it for every server out there? Would you balance it with EE in mind? Because many servers have it disabled. Do you just "turn off" water strainers for everybody, despite some smaller servers using a few them? (Fuck them, let them do the work so long as I get my way easier!) Do you go in and gear the pack for the Roleplayers, the EE-Creative people, the Tekkit-Hardcore people, the WorldGuard people, the Faction people, the <insert non-Technic plugin addons here> people? What about MCMMO, do we just get rid of the ChopTree mod because it makes wood chopping skills pointless? That's the difference between a shitty server and a good server, in that each server administrator does their own balancing. The Technic Team gives you the canvas, and good server operators will paint the Mona Lisa with it. The bad ones will leave EE and Crafting Table II enabled. The Technic Team hasn't and will never tell anyone how to play the pack (Technic or Tekkit). And as such doesn't balance it for anyone.
  12. You answered your own question. That's why there is Technic.
  13. You're something special, aren't you?
  14. This. Also the I think you'd be surprised what hardware can and can't handle, especially when dealing with interpreted languages like Java.
  15. How do you install them?
  16. Does a jig and giggles.
  17. Symptom of getting laid too much. Thanks for the compliment, sorry to see you go.
  18. If they get this worked up about diamond swords... man I wish someone would walk in with a Technic Mining Laser, some Red Matter armor and Thaumcraft goggles and smack some sense into people.
  19. First SOPA, then PIPA, now its CISPA. Woo!
  20. Re: Is there a version of the technic launcher that..... Probably, because of your previous statement: That statement is woefully inaccurate, the "you" you attack is vague and hostile to anyone reading (so, you insulted the community), and you managed to illustrate your willful ignorance by not investigating what the launcher actually does with login information and how credit card transactions actually work over the internet. If I were a gambling man, I'd bet that even if we asked, you wouldn't share your tinfoil hats you stocked up. Those jet engine vapor trails, man!
  21. The update frequency is 5.
  22. I played D2, and D3 is worlds different. In fact, they pretty much stripped the game down to "Find gear, sell it for gold or $" (which in my mind is what I call WoWification, which may or may not be accurate). That being said, once they removed the way you could find runes and instead everyone unlocks all the runes (just depends on level), the only way to customize your character is through item drops. D2 was fun because there were high-end builds for each class that you would have to spec over time for and know in advance what you wanted to do (especially with sorceresses). That's "builds" with an "s" for plurality. My impression of D3 is powerlevel + grind gear. D2 is similar in this mindset except there was more depth because you had to put ability and skill points precisely where they were needed. Eliminating that depth makes the game more accessible for casual gamers, sure. But for someone that enjoys complexity in games, I get quickly bored of it. Which is why I played through the D3 beta twice (Monk and Wizard) and got bored, thus I haven't played it since Feb 18th, my compy says. Nothing like farming runes and gems, saving then dumping skill points, and spending weekends doing framerate calculations. Can't blame Blizzard for wanting PvP to be accessible to casuals instead of crazies though. Anyway, currently enjoying Legend of Grimrock. And it's nice to know other people play Tremulous (though it has been 3-4 years since I last played).
  23. I know it is buried in the Forestry thread, but I'm trying to enforce this everywhere: Being angry and upset is OK, letting us know is ok, but calling people names is stooping down to levels I know we're above.
  24. Walls of lava. Door is also sealed by lava, have to press a button to move a block via piston to part the flow to enter/leave.
  25. Yeah the BTW guy is pretty unsure so the more you keep chanting in this thread and showing your excitement for it the more likely it will be put in quicker.
