Outlaw Star from Toonami got my interest initially when I was pretty young. Never got around to it until I watched the first ~80ish episodes of Naruto with a friend during highschool (it was interesting, though never been a big fan of it). Then from there I started reading Death Note and Helsing, but didn't finish either and instead stuck to my favorite genre: soft sci-fi: Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell, Ghost in the Shell 2nd Gig, Blue Gender, Tengan Toppan Gurren Lagan (guiltily enjoyed it), space-trash-collecting anime title I can't remember, Ergo Proxy, and most recently Evangelion. I plan on watching Gintama, Legend of the Galactic Heroes, and two others I can't think of off the top of my head next. EDIT: I tend to like sci-fi anything in general. Books, shows, books and more books and I find anime tends to have a bit of a better selection than american TV shows in the genre. that's honestly the only reason I'm "into anime".

I assure you it's far from abandoned. And the reason for lack of updates is because Technic team likes to spend time typing code, not typing blog posts about what they ate and posting pics of doing gangnam style.

In case you haven't noticed, no one gives two shits about each others' education around here, which is why people are making fun of your educational hubris. Either people's posts reflect their intelligence or they don't, and that's the only metric used around here. I want to say Quantum will block X damage within a short period of time, where X is a massively large number (hence the 32 nukes at once tries to overcome this barrier brute force in a small amount of time). If it falls below this threshold, the wearer's chest piece only loses a little bit of power instead. So if you are below this X value, you're going to have to damage them over an extremely long period of time. This is what I remember reading in the literature quite some time ago though, so things may have changed.

It seems you have stumbled upon one of the oldest topics that has ever been rehashed on the forums ever, so if it seems like the moderators and some members here seem tired of discussing it, that's probably why. Maybe not in this particular thread, but I've seen some great number-evidence based and logically based EE arguments and some utter crap arguments surrounding EE over the past 9+ months. Just be careful and don't get too soft-mushy-idealistic on me. The cold steel of reality really kicks in when you realize no matter what is said here, EE will be in the pack as long as KakerMix is making mad cash (off the collectors) and throwing all the parties* in his Equivalent Fortress of Industrial Thaumsomeness. Also, EE doesn't feel like chemistry to me, more like alchemy. *Cheap Shot hogs the attention of all the women.

Point at your computer while connecting to the server. That should get rid of there being a lack of a pointer.

People seem to always be stuck in a rut: "Technic" stands for "Technical", not "Technological". Thaumcraft and EE are very technical but not very technological, hence why they are in the pack. Also they're all high-quality mods that people enjoy (or enjoy turning off). We don't tell people how to play, and won't be starting to now.

We've had pages made like this before back in the dark ages, but it was kept up and wholly maintained by community members. Because the Technic team would rather code and get the next version out to you rather than update a list.

FYI as long as you have EE installed and active your currency is most likely going to be ratio'd proportionally to EMC cost of things. Which means EMC might as well be the currency (aka diamonds/red-matter/etc). I'm assuming you haven't disabled anything in EE though.

The more comfortable you are with Lisp-like syntax (S-expressions) the more crazy and out-there coding things you can do. I'd suggest Clojure if you're into that kind of thing. Also gets you thinking about comp sci problems in a very different way.

We already have one terrible thread arguing about removing vs keeping EE - let's not make this one another. Also let's not get heated over our differences.

I don't care about his viewpoints. He can be sexist, ignorant and anti-American. However, there's a constructive way to express that and a destructive way, and he constantly chose to use vulgarities and offensive terms like an ignorant himself.
