Another hard example to consider: If macerators, furnaces, compressors and extractors were as costly as nuclear reactors to make (not necessarily the same materials but on par with quantity of resources), required some type of Thaumcraft-style research that again eats a crapton of resources, and could only operate on one process (eg can only do resin -> rubber and nothing else) then I think it would be a step toward economies being more viable. Note I say more viable because I don't think it is a black and white issue, more of a continuum.

Obi Wan is my favorite Star Trek character right behind Captain Adama. On a serious note, as a youngin' that never saw any of the originals, I thoroughly enjoyed the 2009 Star Trek movie. I realize there were some "stupid comedic" moments in there but I thought it was necessary. Because sci fi has the pleasure of seeming really cheesy if super-serious all the time (one exception I find though is Battlestar, which is always on the edge for me).

Tekkit is multiplayer, so the server should be running Tekkit. Technic is singleplayer, don't use it to join servers. Also pretty sure you can submit a bug report - it's a link above the threads saying "Submit a bug report!".

This guy* should have been banned long ago. This is the way the community is run partly because this is how I had to build it back when it was just me versus a much much less tame forum. We don't have "official tech support". Everything about Technic/Tekkit is 100% volunteered time and money. From the programmers, site managers, cartoonists, moderators, and yes even you guys sharing ideas and problems/solutions.

Since I've been around since the beginning of these forums and was the one to ban all those people you describe, I'll tell ya: Everyone still here. Now drop the whiny self-entitled attitude and you'll have a much longer life here. Things are run around here a certain way, and that's how it is. You're not the first to come in here on a high horse expecting to set pretty ideals on a rough real world.
