  1. It didn't when I tried. I also tried using the scanner thing that comes with Extra Utilities, but it didn't tell me nothing either. All I could determine was that it transmits at least as much as a redstone conduit. If I can find a way to dump energy out of my pipe network I might be able to aproximate what the limit is. A related note; Energy Transfer Pipes are significantly easier to make than the redstone conduits, but they require an energy transfer node at each place you wish to insert energy into the network. Might be worth using them for longer powerlines if tesseracts are not available.
  2. I sure you could do some kind of weird setup that transmits power through an ender chest by juggling Flux Capacitors or something. It would be overcomplicated and unneccessary, but isn't that what Minecraft is all about?
  3. The mod Extra Utilities uses mainly one kind of pipe, namely the Transfer Pipe. This pipe can carry both items, energy and liquids depending on the type of Transfer Node you use. As far as I could tell, these will carry at least as much energy as a Thermal Expansion Redstone Conduit. I couldn't really figure out a way to measure accurately. Note that this was without any upgrades in the Energy Transfer Node. Like I said, I don't know what the upper limit is, but it is a lot.
  4. If I remember I will try the max limit of Extra Utilities Energy Transfer Pipes when I get home from work. EDIT: The answer to how much a tranfer pipe can carry is "More than you will ever be able to expend."
  5. On the topic of oil being annoying as hell and hard to deal with, does anyone know how to disable it from generating entirely? I tried setting the BC config file to not generate oil, yet it still appears. Had the same problem with qCraft ignoring me when I tried to tell it not to make quantum ore. Is there a separate config that handles part of the worldgen, and if so, where?
  6. There's also the energy transfer nodes and pipes from Extra Utilities. Not sure what their max energy transfer rate is, but if it's in line with the rate it transfers items and liquids, it's probably a lot.
  7. If you can be botherer with pureBDcraft's forum there are a few pretty complete tekkit patches made by forum users there. The only major thing I can't seem to get the textures to work with is Balkon's Weapon mod, and the new Big Reactors stuff of course.
  8. As far as I am aware you can use yellorium ingots to make fissile fuel rods for the AS reactors. I haven't played around much with the AS fission reactors, but don't they start automatically as soon you insert the fuel rod?
  9. Question regarding the banned mods: Is all of Mystcraft and DD disabled, or can you use linking books for linking between points on the overworld, or between the nether and the overworld? Also, how often, if ever, are all of the 40 slots occupied?
  10. I dunno about qCraft, but at least Carpenter's Doors show the name of the block used to decorate it when set to only that block face without the door-related bits.
  11. After I had updated Java, i still couldn' open Tekkit. That is untill I realized that the Tekkit launcher had set the maximum allowed RAM to 512kb. After inceasing it to 1Gb it works fine. For some reason it won't let me set it higher than that though; before updating Java I could set it to 2Gb, now that option isn't even in the list.
  12. Does anyone know what the maximum flow rate through a TE fluiduct is? Is this different depending on the fluid? Does it increase if you have the fluiduct is set to extract rather than just having a machine output into it?
  13. I tried this, now, instead of just refusing to start, I get an error message saying Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine. Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit. I'm not too sure this is an improvement. Disregard that, I suck. For some reason I had allocated too little RAM for it to work. Works like a charm now.
  14. I am running Java 7 and still experiencing the problem. My crash report looks pretty much the same as Chinomarz.
  15. I too seem to be suffering from the same problem.
  16. I tried this, but ran into a problem. Is there a way to, via redstone, turn mining wells(or quarries for that matter) off? This is so that I can move my mining rig without mining the crap out of whatever I fly over.
  17. This may be a total idiot question, but what are you using to the actual block breaking on your rig?
  18. I'm having trouble with my bio reactors draining their produced fuel at a glacial pace. The buffer fills up in seconds, but then the fuel just sits there and drips out a drop at a time. I'm not sure what I'm dong wrong, but I can't seem to get the fuel to leave the reactor faster.
  19. Wat? Damn, there goes my plan for a Redstone in motion powered mining crawler.
  20. I think the answer would be that the phased pipes are not part of the basic buildcraft mod, rather a separate mod called Additional Pipes, which, as far as I can tell with a quick googling, is not updated for minecraft 1.6.
  21. Is there any good option which fulfills the function of the IC Mining Laser?
  22. I know there's a thing called "Enchantment Router" in MFR, so I'd try that, but I haven't got the faintest how it works.
  23. If you want the swords to stay in the chest but the lootz to come out, all you need to do is use a TE item duct with a pneumatic servo and blacklist the swords from being extracted. I'm not sure, however, if item ducts work with ender chests, so you may have to use a tessarect to beam the stuff back to your base. I'm not sure that the peaceful tables work with ender chests either, haven't tried it. I also assume you also have a way to keep the chunk containing the tables loaded, otherwise they will do nothing while you are away.
  24. I did indeed remember to save the config, and I did so while both the game and the launcher were closed. I did so after the latest update, although I tried disabling them before too, with little success. The reason I wish to disable them is because I get insane ammounts of them and I don't really plan on using them, and if I change my mind there is a replacement recepe for the dust which uses redstone and green dye or somthing. Also, if I want portals I think the mystcraft ones are easier to use, plus the fact they can link across dimensional boundries, something the qCraft portals can not.
