That's the problem right there... You have a java designed for 32 bits OS, while your OS is 64. Uninstall that java and get a java 7 upgrade 51 for 64 bits

Sounds more like a ticking memory issue. Usually happens for users with 32 OS or 32 java. Either way you need to make a bug report, digging up this old 7 months thread wont do any good

Yeah this error is common. Mostly it's just config files but yours was the mapwriter config of the mp map. Also keeping an up-to-date java is important, yours is 10 upgrades behind

You could scroll the mouse wheel to choose different modpacks. My favourite is Hexxit, which is 1.5.2 Tekkit (main) has been updated to 1.6.4 but is still in beta and need testers. As for 1.7.4, there is no modpack for that, very few modders have updated to that version and most are just waiting, because mojang has a reputation for releasing versions quickly leaving modders well behind them...

That command line is not some magical abra-ka-dabra, if your error is different then this command line will do nothing for you

Then try the Mojang launcher. If you can log in through that, use the same username and password on the Technic launcher
