Look at the codes before the mod names, all of them have something like UCHIJAAAA but some have UCHIJAAAE. Those are erroring

Look at the other topics to learn how we do things around here. Go to .technic/logs open the latest file, select all the contents, copy it, open paste.ubuntu.com and paste it there, fill in the author (your nick) and hit the Paste button. The page will reload, grab the address (url) of that new page and post it here. Do not post the entire wall of text in a post, we need a link. And one more imortant thing when posting a report here: that exception that you called "blablabla" is the most valuable part of the information you should post. You skiped that.

Wait, is that the official launcher from http://technicpack.net? Just checking. If all failes you need to download the jar version for linux and run it in the command line like java -jar path\to\TechnicLauncher.jar

My Minecraft Modpack Crashes When Joining A Server
EvilOwl replied to radmp41's topic in Platform Pagoda
People run modpacks with 200+ mods everyday. It's just a matter of how hard you try. -
Right click it and run as admin
-
Just throw fastcraft in there, it should help a lot with tps.
-
There's is a flaw in my tutorial. That modpack's recommended version is set to minecraft 1.8. You need to change that to a 1.7.10 version.

Where's the video? I see only a link to your channel.

My Minecraft Modpack Crashes When Joining A Server
EvilOwl replied to radmp41's topic in Platform Pagoda
I've seen a lot client crashes involving evolve. I also had that happening to my personal client modpack. 5GB is too much. 2-4GB is enough. Java becomes "lazy" when you reach a certain amount of ram. -
Open the launcher and copy that link to the search box...
-
...normal attractive people... Just remove it.

you are making your modpack on a mac, now get a pc for a moment with windows (or linux) and look at that zip file that you made, look inside it, check out that mess macos did there, get all those unnecessary files out of there you are using NEI for 1.8 in a 1.7.10 modpack

Do it like this: download this modpack with your launcher http://api.technicpack.net/modpack/simply-forge-pack drop your mods in the mods directory inside .technic/modpacks/simply-forge-pack/ run the modpack close it Now you have the default config files ready in .technic/modpacks/simply-forge-pack/config Make 3 directories: bin, mods and config place Forge universal jar renamed to modpack.jar in bin place your mods in mods place your config files in config select all 3 directories and zip them together into a file called "mypack1.0.zip" upload it to a platform supporting direct download links, copy the direct link from there (check on a different pc or in a different browser if the file is accessible) go to the platform, make a modpack, insert the direct link, hit Update, set the version as needed (1.0 in this case)
-
modpack.jar is just a renamed Forge universal jar file, use this one. All default config files are generated when you run your modpack locally for the first time.
-
Moved to Platform Pagoda (the correct place for custom modpack help). The config directory in that zip file has a problem somewhere, a broken file maybe. When I deleted it the modpack extracted fine.

No problem

Find the crash log. Open it. Read it. Read it again. Google the error. Come back with conclusions.

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: codechicken/lib/asm/ASMInit From http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/1279956-chickenbones-mods Check this thread to learn where to download mods from. Check this link to learn where NOT to downloads mods from.

Sometimes the platform delays the change. There are thousands of modpacks here so I don't blame it.

You should be one step ahead than this. Read the crash log carefully, I said carefully. Read it again. What's your conclusion? I was hoping I could check that modpack out but you gave no api link (I asked for it earlier) so you're on your own.
-
But the one in your modpack is different: https://copy.com/zQmfHAi437llW0ur/modpack.zip?download=1 Which leads to: Update the modpack link on the platform, let it refresh, give it some time.

Why did you made yet another thread for that modpack? Closing. Other thread here If you need to get some help with a modpack you can: Reread the topics here on the forums that have a modpack making tutorial. Ask for help on IRC (it's not an instant chat, you need some patience) Ask for help on discord (pretty loud in there) Ask for help on reddit Do not make several threads for the same topic, read the rules and do not sign your posts.

The modpack zip file link shows an error page. Is it public?

opens the zip package, sees a "modpack.zip" file in the bin folder heh, I wonder why is this happening? Forge should be renamed to modpack.jar
-
Yeah. I'm spying people for new modpacks... Looks like it's fixed. People keep saying that I'm always not happy, one of my (modpack maker) friends told me I should use this as my avatar on all the possible sites :/
