  1. I do remember ChimmneySwift having this issue after one of the updates, that he used to be able to one hit enderman with his cleaver and then after an update couldn't. Granted he is not wearing the exo armor but is wearing the witchery stuff. I noticed that using a cutlass that the same result of a 2 hit vs what should have been a one hit kill.
  2. I might also try NOT exact copy origionally to see what else you might be able to get for villager types.
  3. I agree, certainly dont need a 10k computer, I am running an off the shelf mac mini of all things and it was bare bones model when I bought it. Granted I dont get hundreds of FPS but I do usual see at least 30 which is very playable. That comp when it came out cost me about $500 Would I like a faster game yes, do I currently want to spend the money, no, but that's my choice. Aside from the computer issue, there are many possible issue fixes available. I had some trouble with JAVA initially causing gaming issues, got those worked out with some help from here and things ran fine. I had some other minor issues durring version upgrades but again many people here had the same issues and they were quickly solved. I highly doubt its "a weak computer issue" if you have a machine built in the last 5 years as you say, and the graphics card meets the minimum requirements then I would tend to lean towards a conflicting programs issue or an incorrect version problem being the cause. In either of the cases posting the error log (which can be had as a text file) to the tracker would solve the issues (see post above mine for links) Images can be hosted at any number of free sites and then linked to here if you need to take screen shots, thou if you cant load the game not sure how a screen shot would help.
  4. I had this issue as well, and it seemed as if the liquids can flow thru the liquiducts faster than the tanks will accept and or the servos can process. After letting a setup run for a while (afk so no idea how long it was) it did work itself out. One thing I noticed that did help was that extra tank he has in line at the end. As he said when he built it, it was a very important little piece. I had initially thought to see if I could make pipes dense and or vacuum like the item ducts but have since just stuck to not using the liquids as much and just using the smeltery as needed instead of having a bunch on hand. I have found that I dont really use it much now that I have a more advanced system and plenty of resources to work with.
  5. number 1 I cant really help with number 2, thou add whatever you like to make the pack your own. Doubtfull that any new mods would ever be added to the pack by the creators but as has always been said here, add and or remove whatever you like to make it what you want it to be.
  6. I agree Melfice, the base is probably the correct size but the walls should allow for a 3x3 INSIDE them. so the walls would be 4x4 but the corners are not required. Controller and lava tank need to be on same level but not necessarily next to each other.
  7. IDED indeed has been doing some awesome tutorials on each of the mods in here (thou he has not gotten to all of them yet) he covers the basics of crafting the items and some use of them. Jsit also has some good block spotlights on power systems. You could also watch any of the members of the official B-Teams servers esspecially early episodes when they are all starting off and getting into the mods.
  8. The dimensional upgrade is for travel within the same dimension. IE to travel within the overworld or the nether or any other dimension. Travel to the nether and back to the over world would not require the dimensional upgrade.
  9. That is the only way I have been able to make the wooly gene or the eat grass gene work. Use scraper, get some skin cells (I recommend lots of them) then process thru the advanced genetics system to make a completed gene, once you have that spin it up as browser mentioned with your own blood and centrifuge, add gene, centrifuge, inject. As a side note anyone doing AG I highly recommend keeping a spare syringe or two of your own blood around some where in case you die. Also if you take someone elses syringe you can gain any attributes they may have also. B-Dubs did this with Pungance recently on one of the episodes.
  10. I will admit that there are minor issues with mine as well, at the screen edge chests and lockers might flicker a bit or become invisible but this is only at the very edge of the screen. I have not tested with alot of the blocks as it does not really bother me now that I am aware of what it is. It does add a nice list of adjustments for the game as far as graphics go.
  11. That is the only use I can think of and or can find on the Tinkers Construct Wiki. I actually did the same thing in my world when I first tried to make the bucket of ender stuff. Its somewhere in my storage system now, have no idea what to do with it. Will probably stay there until the world is closed.
  12. I have optifine installed on my comp and have on issues with it. Granted I have not messed with Tcon in a while but no issues working around the parts and smeltery.
  13. Only way I can think of is to use MCedit and move your player location.
  14. really neat build, thanks for sharing, great concept and showing what things in this modpack are capeable of with some thought.
  15. Im with you K on that one, what I dislike is that if I make blocks in a table it makes GC by default and the block will not change in a unifier, have to go back to ingots to make them either TC or TE ones.
  16. Confirmed Loader, I tried to and I do remember Chim capturing one but now it does not work.
  17. I have a couple of these systems running now for a month or so and am having no issues. I knew there was an issue with the galacticraft and TE stuff (ie the galacticraft power cell with aluminum wire and an energy cell) Now I cant say it will or will not cause you issues but it is not causing me issues and I have seen no issues on the official B-Team server either. If not the lava system I found the tree farm with sawmill to be VERY effective to create power, just watch out for unloading chunks with it as I had some issues with that.
  18. Depends which route you want to go.. Tree farm like Gliss6 or Bdubs Lava power like Keralis Mob fueled power with drops and essence like Genny B (Bdubs also did a small version in pirate cove) Creative power cell if you really dont want to take the time, or Make your own variation.
  19. Are you attempting to smelt blocks or ingots? or ore's? I know that the blocks will not smelt in mine but the ingots will (which I believe is normal)
  20. What I ended up doing for the clear glass is to just throw a TON of sand in it and store the molten glass in resinent tanks by pumping it out a drain. I have quite a few full now and when I need the clear glass I put the tank over a casting basin that is on top of a hopper pointed into either a chest or an item duct going somewhere. Set the tank to output and it automatically drains the tank and gives glass. Vanilla hoppers still have their place even in modded MC. To feed the smeltery I just put a hopper pointed into the controller and a chest on top of it. I can afk for hours there if need be and have tons of glass in short order. As for the armor, I just have it all stored in a locker and when I have a little time or when I need to afk I will occasionally spend that time repairing armor pieces or disenchanting stuff as those items are near my mob farm and smeltery. Doesnt take to long to do and I just add them to the smeltery as I have pieces.
  21. I agree K, thou the one thing I still use my smeltery for is armor plates and clear glass. I have an auto setup that uses a few pulverizers and either redstone furnaces or induction smelters (depending on what the ore is) I have chests setup with stock keepers for the cinabar for the induction smelter and just let the rest run thru, I would get screen shots but its all done thru filters and cards so the piping isnt really anything to look at.
  22. If auto crafting of food can be done it would be interesting, I did try a couple quick things but the worktop seems to be the crux of the problem. Now slow down you devlish children your driving too fast by my house!
  23. I cant answer the behind the block portion but I can say with assurity that the harvesters work on the ore berries. I have quite the farm going of booshes and get a significant amount of ore berries. Such to the point that I have a setup in my system to smelt if necessary the berries to nuggets (Necessary for Aluminum and iron, not for Tin and copper, have not seen gold to check that one) and then going thru cyclic assemblers to make ingots out of them.
  24. I think its an interesting idea, and one that with some work could be alot of fun to try. The only thing I might do different would be to give a clock so that we could know when it is day and when it is night. If we have to have all the holes covered making a clock might take a while. How do we time every 10th night? Might I suggest a slight change, you have 2 full days (Day, night, day, night, and must be in your hole and covered before sunrise and mobs start to burn) then be allowed nightly only after sunset to come above ground, and before sunrise back in the ground.
  25. Just watched food plus last night, another well done job! With the LXP and considering the open blocks xp it might be worth noting the incompatibilities of them for people that are playing. I know it comes up often that people have started with the LXP stuff only to find out they really wanted the Open blocks versions.
