  1. your right there, I know the mod page for it indicates that it only spawns either durring the day or at night. Guess I was wrong about the tree or just only saw it as I only "chop" down the hawthornes and use the harvester on the others.
  2. Loader, I don't believe it is ANY witchery tree, I believe (and I could be wrong here) that is has to be a Hawthorne tree. At least those are the only ones that have spawned them for me. I have alder and rowan in my tree farm and have never seen an Ent spawn in. Thou I have seen them when I have been manually harvesting trees.

I have all my mob drops other than necro going into DSU's and then one of the larger capacity chests (not a strongbox, the other ones sorry spacing on the name right now) then filled it with what I wanted where, threw a dynamic responding chip into it so that it will only take those particular items, and then have a regular chest near my nullifier (I also use this chest as my "trashcan" if you will) set to be priority 2 for any necromancy stuff with the other chest being 1. This ensures that when that chest fills up it just trashes the rest of the stuff. I have a few things actually programmed to that chest instead of the rest of my storage system just for simplicity. StratusNightstar I agree, thats my only dislike of the DSU's is that in my routed request side I only see 64, thou it has rarely become an issue as I have just started crafting in 64s lol. If I am running low I just make a bunch and then have them on hand, or in some cases as I am about to setup I am using liquid crafters and or cyclic assemblers and then sending completed items to DSU's this will be for the carpenters blocks and such like BDubs has done just on a larger scale of storage. My tree farms SO over produce already might as well use it. But thats a bit of a side track anyways.
  4. I just had the issue of the glowstone having its own value and having the non full stack in my inventory (Not hot bar) and then throwing the other onto the ground did solve it for me. I had a meta value of 8 attached to the normal number if that helps at all.
  5. Watched both the carpenters blocks and enhanced portals, great work as always.
  6. I have seen the airplanes and such watching some of Ethos stuff granted its not b-team but yeah even on the server they have they glitch like mad when they are flying about. I would hope they could solve that and I would Def agree with wanting them.
  7. Block movers do not work, have tried that a few times just to check (usually with each update) Portaspawner and Block tele porter are the only ways unless you just spawn one in via a creative or OP mode
  8. I would start with some of BDoubleO100s vids as he gets right into carpenters blocks and then tinkers. GenerikB does do some awesome stuff once he gets settled in, and he has the best vid about setting up the storage system. If you are interested in the Witchery mod you HAVE to follow Chimmneyswift and you really need to start that one from the beginning to keep up with him he is very well versed in it. Glis6 also does some great tech builds and shows them rather well. He to me thinks a bit more tech than generikB does at times. Keralis is just hands down the building master on the server. BDubs is good but K takes it home. Pung and Skyzm are just fun to watch, they mess with the mods and have a very down to earth way of doing things and working things out. They are a little slower at getting into things and making things work than some of the others but I tend to think they play more like the average person would with alot of trial and error. PSJ is definitely the explorer and the most into the necromancy mod. I personally have not watched mrwoofless yet at all but he is also on that server. All are great youtubers and have wonderful series out there. I also know there are plenty of other folks doing LP's and other stuff with the series. If your looking for some tutorial type vids I highly recommend IDED online, he does awesome vids and is constantly putting more up, he has a thread in this forum with all his tutorials in it. Also jsit did some great tutorials thou not as many and more block type oriented. Also ask here if you need a hand with something or need an idea, there are a TON of helpful people here that would be glad to help, and help you make some new ideas.
  9. Usually when I add stuff the purple card (broadcaster) is fine, just need to right click with it to seemingly "activate" it the first time. The orange card (responder) needs to be checked to ensure its set for blacklist and have nothing picked, or for white list if you want to only allow certain things into the chest. You can blacklist items and then they will not go into that chest also. Also if you have any point where you have multiple pipes coming together and you do not have a junction pipe (blue bands) you need to put one in other wise things will just bounce around the system for a long time. The interface pipes (Purple ones) do count as junction pipes when they are in line. If you still have problems you can post a picture of the GUI for the card and we can work from there. Also if you have osme other shots of the system we can try to help if the cards are all correct. Remember pipes do have a limitation, I forget personally how long it is but I know that Gliss found it when he was moving things around his base.

  11. I think he used the Block Teleporter, which I know is what they used when thy pranked Chimney with the witch spawner.
  12. Im picturing some type of convoluted conveyer belt system to move them around just for fun. Start with the chronotyper to move them into their own "pen" Then use a second for an adult "pen" to harvest from Then you could use some advanced drawbridges to open a pathway to the conveyor system and then have them run wherever you want. Would be kinda funny to watch them moving around on them (Possibly encased in glass) like a Jetsons thing or something, only to be dropped (can be from high above too.....) into a smeltery.
  13. Did you make dynamic responder chips? (The ones with the orange AND cyan illuminar in them? If you did there is the problem They will not add anything new to a chest, only what is already in them. I learned that the hard way as well. Thankfully I have since made a ton of deep storage and was able to use them there.

Ok fine so generics setup won't work on a lager scale, so you got one that does? can everyone else come up with one right now, maybe someone might like some help making one or get an idea for another invention from it. Best part of ideas is that it isn't always the one that your working on that gives someone another idea. I get ideas from all kinds of things depending on what I see and what I am thinking of. Yeah your right laser drill and send it to a nullifier cool ok thats one we can cross of the list, thanks! I see a lot f mods in this pack that take tech related items and blocks to make things a lot simpler, but with a lot of the available blocks especially with TE and Project Red it gives SO many more ideas for things or possibilities for things. Playing with redstone alone is a whole new experience with all the different gates and logics, it can melt the brain some days as to what you can accomplish. It isn't about always being the most compact or the least blocks or the first to do it its about the fun of the game and creating things. IF all your after is to do it fastest and first thats great but others are out to create some awesome stuff that sometimes serves no purpose, heck look at some of the stuff etho has built, it serves no purpose really other than to amuse him. But it also shows different game mechanics and ways things work that could make other people come up with some cool ideas because of it.

Actually a variation of this is what Keralis used, I have been using it in my world since I saw it, I have the magmatic dynamo straight into the lava fabricator and it produces almost infinite lava. I have tried with up to 26 dynamos on it powering a laser drill in creative and it was still generating lava over all the power being used
  16. I can say after setting it up that boy it USES power. I have 4 prechargers and they will use power as fast as I can feed it. I would agree that each one will use 5k rf/t even in a creative world when I had all 4 prechargers on being fed by a creative cell they would all (as quick as I could check at least) only get up to just over 5k rf and then discharge.

I dont discount simplicity or ease of doing it, but also not everyone either wants simple or sometimes is missing a piece of understanding, or just plain wants to have the most rube goldberg type setup they can have. Also my mentioned piece was just one idea there are a ton of mods with an almost infinite source of options to do things.

  21. Ok, so while this may seem foolish to some Im sure others will or might think it. As I play this primarily on a server, will deleting the conf file on my local machine interfere with the file that might reside on the server machine? I dont want to update my Single player world and then have issues with my server world.
  22. Honestly some of the things that come to mind are using things like better storage chests with MFR stuff and red net controllers to make items move around. Another one that has been done was what Genny B did with the Smeltery and the computerized (very mildly) pumping of liquids around to auto craft the blocks. Something like B-Dubs did with the carpenters blocks but make it a lot more compact. Again these are all just thoughts and ideas.
  23. I was just about to suggest Rowan doors. The locks from better storage are just for the better storage stuffs. Not sure if different keys would be an issue thou, I know there is some special stuff that happens with the doors and keys and all that. I have not gotten that far into those just yet.
  24. a small mob grinder setup will give you a ton of power if done up right and its easy. As for running power around, they have these neat bundled cables that you could use so you could actually have a few different circuits even. If not you could simply pipe some redstone power pipes everywhere and then just remove one. The more you look into this the more options there are. If you really get into the cables you can actually get into a lot of stuff with timers and all that to have the house turn on and off the lights for you.
  25. Personally I would hope that the developers of all these mods get them up to 1.7 compatibility fairly soon and then this would be a null issue. Thanks for the link, I will actually recommend it to the server admin where I play, while I may not use it I have heard others mention the same thing that you are saying.
