-jombersson- i need help with installing!!! (He got Jomberssoned)

Re: i need help with installing!!! Why do you triple-post? Because you are under a warning. Piracy isn't tolerated here, nor are workarounds for people with a pirate version of Minecraft. To compound it, you flat-out lied to everyone here. TBH, I'd just be glad you got a purple name and not banned. -

Re: Common Problems (And their solutions) You can't change them while either the launcher or Minecraft is running. Is that your problem?

The button is right next to the password box. It says "Options" on it. There should be a dropdown in the popup that lets you choose how much memory to allocate. As I said, I don't have a Mac, but I've linked a screenshot of the thing I mean. Is it there for you, or is the Mac launcher different? http://postimage.org/image/szjvq91qv/

Use the options in the launcher? I don't have a Mac, but I'd imagine they work.

There is a bugfix or two. You know how sometimes it seems like a button has got stuck and you keep moving until you press it again? Updating should fix that. IIRC, there are a few others as well, but I'm not too sure what they are.

I just though I'd stop by and say thanks to the Technic/Tekkit team. I play it almost exclusively now, where before I didn't use any mods, apart from the odd server admin plugin. There are a few things I don't particularly like (among them, it seems that you don't have permission to distribute Forestry, and the banhammer seems/seemed a little quick to strike), but nothing that really needs a rage like some I've seen. Anyway, thanks. It seems you get little enough at the moment.

Hm. Pretty sure I posted here already... There is apparently a work-around that involves opening the .JAR file in %APPDATA%, though that doesn't work for me. At least, all it does it bring up a really annoying thing in the middle of my screen until I kill the process. I guess that's not the intended behaviour.

You could add it to the exception list. TBH, I'm pretty sure the only reason that it is "high risk" is because it isn't from a well-known, assumed safe publisher. Of course, it could be full of malware, but I doubt it.

Install it on a computer that is connected to the net, then copy the folders across with a flash drive or an external HDD. As I haven't got around to installing v6 yet, I'm not certain what the folder is called, but it will probably be in %appdata% if you're on Windows, and may well be called something like .technic

Worf Klingsby?

It could be less, don't forget that it only says that it is a SAFE landing, not a dead stop landing. Anyway, there is an easier way of doing it, though not to belittle the efforts of the previous poster. Again assuming that it is falling at 54 m/s, it weighs 100kg, and it farts for 1.2 seconds... Its downward momentum is 54 *100 = 5400 Ns (Newton-seconds) The force required to stop in 1.2 seconds is 5400/1.2 = 4500 N This is the same value as SimpleGuy arrived at, but done in less steps. However, if we assume that it can land at a speed above 0m/s (say 5m/s) and that it has a mass of 86kg (Wikipedia, average US body mass of an adult male - Creepers are about the size of a large human), then it becomes less violent, though still quite nasty. Momentum1 = 86*54 = 4644Ns Momentum2 = 430Ns Impulse required = 4644-430 = 4214Ns Force = 4214/1.2 = 3511.6rec Newtons Does anyone feel like setting up a test map for this? Have some sort of creeper-dropper and see how far they can fall without getting hurt or dying.

Technic Pack bug/possible minefactory bug
Pilchard123 replied to KamikaziZombie's question in Tekkit Classic
Wasn't there some bug with the power converters? Anyway, crash report? -
You can also see the seed in the server startup text, or at least you can with vanilla Bukkit.

Industrial diamonds are highly exploitable
Pilchard123 replied to Pilchard123's question in Tekkit Classic
Oh okay. Perhaps I won't post this over there then. Is this in the SSP pack as well, or just SMP? -
In 1.1.4, placing an industrial diamond in a crafting bench will result in crafting a diamond (non-industrial). I'll be posting this in the IC2 forums as well, but just wondered if it was anything to do with Tekkit. I have no other mods installed on the server, and the only change I made to the default Tekkit is to allow steel crafting. As this isn't a crash, there are (oddly enough no crash reports), and I'll get pics up when I'm at my computer with Minecraft installed.

I'mma be picky and ask that that picture is thumbnailed or shrunk? It's distorting the whole page! I know I have a fairly small monitor, but still...

Do the blocks always face the same way each time you restart, or is their position different? If they all point in one direction, it could be that they point that way by default and reset on server start. Just an idea.
