  1. Creepers can if they've already seen you and are chasing, but so can any other vanilla mob.
  2. IIRC, conductive pipes have a power loss. That might be your problem.
  3. Addendum to my previous post: Eyes of Ender will show the direction to the nearest End Portal, not the nearest stronghold entrance. That may have been why you couldn't find it to begin with.
  4. The eye of ender doesn't always travel all the way to the stronghold. If it helps, the entrance will always be within a ring that is 640 to 1152 blocks from (0,0). If you find one, you can find the other three, as they will be 120 degrees around (0,0) from the entrance to the first you found. With a bit of trigonometry-fu, you can work out the lines that you need to search.
  5. Launcher/pack Version: Launcher 0.5.4.7; Tekkit 2.0.0 Operating System: Win XP Pro, 32-bit Version of Java:7.2, I believe. Definitely Java 7.X Description of Problem: I think there's a memory leak somewhere - It gets slow after about an hour of playing - The server I play on has only a few simple machine set-ups, so that shouldn't be a problem. Anyway, while I'm playing the memory usage steadily increases to ~ 900MB, and gets nearly unplayable lag until I quit Minecraft and relaunch it. Then the memory usage falls to more reasonable levels again. I haven't tested this on Technic yet, but I didn't notice this in Tekkit 1.1.4 - I seem to remember something about ComputerCraft causing a memory leak, but we have no computers built. It also may be something to do with EE, as that was only been in Tekkit since 2.0. Error Messages: The odd "Minecraft has run out of memory" Link to pastebin of log: No logs, I usually quit manually to free up the memory before it crashes. I also re-downloaded the entire Tekkit folder to fix a different bug.
  6. I changed the "him" in the first sentence of the quote to "he". I was mildly insulted by that, especially as you were saying that OP should speak English, but were doing it slightly wrong yourself. I'll take it out now. I, too, was something of an arse.
  7. Use the .JAR file - sometimes on Windows all the .EXE does is update the launcher. You can find the .JAR by going to Start -> Run -> %appdata% -> .techniclauncher I suggest making a desktop shortcut for it.
  8. S/He is not 'demanding', per se. The verb demander simply means "to ask". A better translation could be "I come to ask permission to crate a French Technic pack website." No. If this person is asking *in French* to make a *French-language* site for the Technic pack, then I would guess that they don't speak English that well, and believe that there is a big enough French-speaking audience for the Technic pack that it would be useful.
  9. What are your global internet upload and download speeds? Try speedtest.net - if it's much below about 0.5 Mbps, give up. You need a fairly high-speed connection to host a server.
  10. Aaaaand it's no longer going to be updated regularly. Why'd the banhammer fall?
  11. But is it better than wolves? Don't hurt me! OT: could be useful for long staircases, I suppose. I hate banging my head on stuff.
  12. 1) I believe worldguard or worldguard can stop creepers. 2) I never thought I'd say it, but try Hamachi.
  13. Two blocks! If you were to sort of alternate the blocks, you could allow for them to jump, but then drop them back down again.
  14. Actually, an oubliette is meant to be survived for a long time. Long enough to be forgotten about, in fact - hence the name (which I believe used to refer to the prisoner; "a forgotten one").
  15. For anyone else with this problem - you may need to do both. I did the cmd thing first, but still had to clear my cache.
  16. A locker is not your property though, unless you buy the thing.
  17. As seen HERE, copyright is an automatic right, you don't have to register for it. Modders "HAZ RIGHTS". For your consideration, I also present a few quotes from the ToS and Brand Guidelines, as accessed 5th March 2012, at 18:28 pm GMT. ToS (http://www.minecraft.net/terms): - Note that this says that distributing changes to the ORIGINAL SOURCE, but nothing about things separate to it. Brand Guidelines (http://www.minecraft.net/brand-guidelines): - As I said before, if the plugin/mod is completely your own, it is yours, and so is covered by copyright. You may do whatever you like with it, including being "a douche". While there are good and bad ways of telling people that you don't want them to use your IP, you have the right to tell them to back off. Need I say anything about this one?
  18. *Ahem* Convention on the Rights of a Child I called it.
  19. In short, chunk loading blocks are these guys.
  20. I'm pretty sure that would come under whatever equivalent of the Computer Misuse Act Section 3 (I'm in the UK) exists in his country. That's just a glorified trojan horse.
  21. RM sword, I should imagine. Personally, though this isn't really pure melee, I like using the musket with bayonet attachment though and a gem sword. The musket will deal good ranged damage, and reasonable melee. If you put the sword in the slot next to it in your hotbar, you can swap back and forth with minimal delay. If you crouch while you reload, aim and fire, you can even get a reasonable sniper's nest.
  22. I thought it was in, but you had to use Refined Iron from IC2 to make it, not steel. Haven't tested that though.
  23. Ah, found the link. http://www.mod-buildcraft.com/forums/topic/bees/ While SirS doesn't explicitly say that he dislikes the technic pack, he does say that they don't have permission to redistribute.
