  1. Re: Could this remove the need for a Technic pack? Did you know that at one point they were considering putting trainers on the animals in the creature stage? Yep, shoes. Also, glad to know that I'm not the only one who complains about Spore still.
  2. I know it says "apparently not" at the top of this thread, but read Section 5. SirS can release under whater licence he likes, including one that says "You can use this to kill kittens as long as it doesn't use the Technic launcher."
  3. You could try bumping up to the 560Ti GS. That's supposed to be just below a 570, but cheaper.
  4. I got one from bluerise [at] iblamelee [dot] co [dot] uk They say they ignore that address though.
  5. AFAIK, turtles will destroy any block placed in front of them, and pick it up. They do breat IC2 Rubber Wood blocks.
  6. Yea, I did meant to say deployer. Also, I was JUST about to suggest turtles.
  7. I tried the tree-farm thing. It doesn't work too well. You can only grow normal trees, though you still get fairly good amounts of wood from those. However, you cannot cut them down by using an axe in a transposer, since they act as RIGHT clicks, not held left clicks.
  8. Cobble, glass, smoothstone. Wood planks when I need lots of materials quickly. Yea, I'm boring.
  9. Deployers, transposers. Not certain it works, but I'll have quick look.
  10. Wait, what?
  11. Use the server console. You can do anything you like from there. just remember that you don't need to put the / in front of any commands. Once you've OP'd yourself, then just go back ingame and op other people.
  12. I seriously doubt the team would take them up on the offer, even if they did.
  13. Please tell me that's a joke. Please.
  14. What are rubies, sapphires and emeralds? Well, the first two are varieties of the mineral corundum, with the colours being caused by the presence of chromium and iron, respectively. An emerald is a an impure variety of beryl, containing traces of vanadium. OH! You mean the ones in the game! Yea, use them for tools or to get EMC.
  15. Which particular flavour of I7 is it? I think there's one full-fat 8-core, the 3980X, but it's not released yet... EDIT:Hurr durr. At that clock, it's not going to be an LGA2011 CPU, is it now? It's probably a mid-range i7 that's been OC'd, what with it being Alienware.
  16. Pfft. Just find a jungle, get some saplings and bonemeal-grow the über-trees. You can get >64 wood from one of those, and you'll usually make a profit on the saplings too.
  17. Upon updating my launcher to 0.5.4.9, and then updating Technic, I run into a block ID conflict for block 197. If anyone else has this problem, it can be fixed (on Windows, at least) by deleting %appdata%/.techniclauncher/technicssp/mods/forestry-client-A-1.4.0.3.jar , though I'm not sure if this introduces all those problems with Forestry that are talked about elsewhere yet.
  18. Try connecting to port 666 on towel.blinkenlights.nl . Do it a few times. Then go on a server with computercraft and try to hack together some way of getting Telnet stuff going over HTTP. It's boring if you do it to yourself, but it's mildly amusing if you drop it on someone else. Or you could stick it in an adventure map. Hm...
  19. Nah, get on a server and wire it up to the BOFH server. Blinkenlights SW is good too, though.
  20. I don't understand. You might want to use Google Translate. Не понимаю. Вы можете использовать Google Translate. http://translate.google.ru/
  21. I had plans to make one of these, but not to ask for 250k for it. Sort of like a linear version of an SoI map. Now this is around, I might actually do it - and not make Lewis look like Baal. EDIT: DOn't expect miracles, or even for me to finish it.
  22. So...I tried eight times to get a registration key. I finally got one today at noon exactly. At 12:30, I tried to register - Oh, look! It doesn't recognise it! I shall continue.
  23. I know I always go on about this, but you could make a Forestry tree farm (using steam engines), pipe the excess saplings into a fermenter, then replace the steam engines with bio-gas engines. Keep any spare bio-gas/fuel in tanks, and teleport it out to your engines on the quarries. You shouldn't lose any power this way, and you get wood and stuff.
  24. Hold up, people. It's only Saturday, and I'm pretty sure we've had our quota of idiot-threads for this week. Or is it like a lower-limit sort of quota? I've never quite worked that out...
  25. Hmm... The pope? EDIT:It's not completely finished yet, as you probably have worked out by now. From what I've played of it, though, it works okay. Controls are a bit clunky, but passable.
