  1. Doesn't SirSengir frown on Technic? This could be interesting.
  2. Is it? Pitchblende, or based on the colour of the ore Autunite or Torbernite was around in the C18, but it just wasn't really used for anything. [/nitpick]
  3. IIRC, it's from a Greek word(words?) weaning loud-soft.
  4. I can't remember what you posted, but I remember thinking it was rather amusing. What I actually meant was that the only places that this board has had bans/probates it when people have made up their own rules and tried to enforce them, not when they've done something helpful, like telling pirates to get lost. Although, I can see how my post could have been read. "Another thing altogether" does often mean "much worse", doesn't it. I didn't mean that though. For a native English speaker I do make some pretty dumb mistakes.
  5. Yea, but there's backseat modding, and then there's backseat modding. Telling people that they may not stand on their head while posting is bad, but telling them to go read the rules or else they'll get slapped down is another thing altogether. At least, that's my take on it.
  6. And half the people taking IT. Seriously, I got more out of trying to get things to work in my school network than I did actually doing the work. M$ 101 would have been better name for my classes.
  7. Really? I thought you were all Illuminati.
  8. Hello? Yes, this is enderman. Or, if you don't mind using balance exploits. Since you can make a net gain of matter/energy by cycling between EE and Thaumcraft, just tap off some of the spare vis.
  9. Ores aren't, dusts and ingots are. My advice? Make a klein star ASAP. It allows you to get matter and fuels out of the table without having to drain the EMC first.
  10. I know that it's usually called out as cheating, but people still like to use them.
  11. Try Essentials. http://ess.khhq.net/wiki/Command_Reference There is quite a bit in there, but among other things there is /nick. You can disable the others ith you don't want them.
  12. And that reminds me of the joke about the apple seller: And rich old businessman is talking to a potential new investor. The investor is interested in the origins of the company, and asks the old man how he got his start. "Well," says the old man, "it was in the middle of the Great Depression, and all I had to my name was the clothes I wore. I had managed to find an apple, and I spent a couple of hours polishing it. Then, I sold it for ten cents." "Using those ten cents, I bought, polished, and sold two more apples for ten cents each. So now I had 20 cents. I continued to do this for a few weeks, and soon began to branch out into other items as well. I was good with my hands, so if I found something that was broken, I would try to turn my hand to fixing it. If I could, I sold that too. After a while, I had managed to accumulate about one hundred dollars." The investor is impressed. He exclaims: "That's amazing! So you built up this massive empire from a start living on the streets selling apples?" "I never said that, did I?", says the old man. "A little while after I had made my first hundred, a relative died and left me everything they owned."
  13. Why wouldn't you? Any competitive player would gain a boost from xray, unless it was a creative server.
  14. Good point, but I was talking about automating the process that was already being used. ATM, diamonds are converted, so I wanted to automate diamond conversion. Using collectors will of course make it more efficient, probably by orders of magnitude.
  15. Their loss. Send it to the ones that will take it.
  16. Burn the diamonds in a relay, next to an Energy Condenser targeting obsidian. Pipe the obsidian out of that.
  17. Did you try to spawn it from the vanilla creative item list? That doesn't work with mods for some reason, so you'll have to use NEI.
  18. Re: World corrupted! Use pastebin to upload your errors, and link to them. It's easier and more secure for you too. I'd delete your email address if I were you, unless you like getting adverts for Viagra and 419 scams.
  19. Try deleting .technicpack/technicssp and redownloading. Back up your saves first.
  20. I think compact solars is actually part of the old Advanced Machines. In any case, the reason that there hasn't been much stuff about advanced machines is because the author is rewriting from scratch, I think.
  21. The MFE produces 30 EU/t packets? IIRC, while it can produce up to 128EU/t, if the objects being powered only require 30 EU/t, it will only produce 30 EU/t. If I'm wrong, then I can't help sorry.
  22. Might it be that the generators are only producing 16EU/t each? The EU packets don't stack, there's just more of them going through the cable.
  23. Re: Pipe in void = crash? You know, you're not really meant to put things in the void. The ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException may be something to do with the fact that the void is on level -1, so trying to reference index -1 in the array of blocks - which presumably goes from 0 to 128, at least in the dimension that deals with world vertical - by placing something at index -1 will cause that crash. Basically, unless you can figure out a way of getting rid of that pipe, you're hosed.
  24. The Wireless Redstone bug has a fix in this thread: http://forums.technicpack.net/index.php/topic,1974.msg12032.html#msg12032 Could that be stickied or added to a fix thread, mods?
