  1. The MCP javadoc actually gets added as comments to the source code when it decompiles, so (as far as I can tell) you don't need to refer to the online version. Eclipse I have never used, nor any IDE for Java, but the MCP release page does have some info. If you can't get it working, post again and I will download Eclipse and try to get it working myself. MCP is supposed to come with a pre-built Eclipse workspace (after you decompile) that you can just import.
  2. No mod of any kind is producing audio, including IC2 and RP? Post your launcher log so we can see if there are any non-fatal audio-related exceptions being thrown. All vanilla sound is working? Monsters' ambient sounds and hit noises, block placing, UI clicking, fire burning...
  3. Bloody hell! Windmills are the only thing from BTW that I actually wanted. Boom, done. Shaq-fu!
  4. 1.3 is looking to have a merged architecture between ssp and smp, so (except for any modders we lose to frustration over the change) all mods will be smp-compatible. I'm thinking...if they wait to release it until it actually works well, some time in July or August, and if they half-ass it, early June.
  5. Who with the what now? Link required.
  6. Recognition and acceptance of my flaws without letting them affect my outlook on life. ;-)
  7. If I ever were to make a texture pack (I wouldn't), I would start with Minecraft Enhanced. That pack is freaking amazing if you have the hardware to support it.
  8. .jar files are .zip files. (Rename one to .zip and see what happens.) The difference between .jar and .zip is that it tells Java there are other things in there, like a manifest with a start class, the META-INF, and other sorts of things. It's sort of like how, if you have a brown box that says "Audio Emporium" on the side, it's still a brown box, but you expect it to have a stereo in it.
  9. I hope people start asking questions soon: People who want to answer questions are waiting impatiently. :-(
  10. Re: Texture Pack [128x] Sphax PureBDcraft [(REAL)Technic 6.0.7 / Tekkit 2.1] Or, "Macs: Now treating you like morons who can't think for themselves just like Windows does."

    Old Thread

Well, I can safely and confidently confirm that, yes, you need help.
  12. Gee, man, it's almost like people say inflammatory things just to get more hits and ratings. What a weird idea.
  13. Oh, I just rememberex, Macs don't have Oracle's JRE, do they?
  14. If they really want to do this right, it wil take a long time, which means we can actually get a 1.2.5 pack out and enjoy it before 1.3 hits. Considering how they half-assed the 4096 id expansion, I expect them to give up partway through and release a buggy pile of shit that lags like hell on singleplayer.
  15. Wait, don't tell me you think skyrom has skilled combat. Press mouse to light hit, hold mouse to heavy hit, right mouse for other hand... Street Fighter it isn't. I like Skyrim combat, but it is NOT deep.

    Java6/Java7

Bullshit. Java 7 is very stable. Back up your assertions or get out.
  17. I'm okay with that, as long as it's microtransactional instead of based on a subscription. There are so many games on this planet, I don't need them all to give me a nerdgasm; Simple basic pleasure is fine as a baseline.
  18. Are you experiencing the problem only when loading Hack/Mine? (Also, you didn't actually say what the problem is.)
  19. There cannot be no errors. There is a launcher log on his client's side, and there is whatever Minecraft says when it either fails to connect or finally gives up trying.
  20. The most common complaint that I hear is that it's not engaging, with too much "press and wait". An active style of combat like GW2 and DCUO have seems to be what the complainers want most. I understand their point: A more active style of combat is indeed more engaging, and relies more on skill than the WoW style does (if implemented correctly). The most common counterargument that I hear (such as from people like myself) is that the WoW style is easier and "good enough". People like me care more about fun than challenge. And obviously we don't see eye-to-eye with people who equate challenge with fun. :P
  21. You mumble too much. Otherwise, seems decent.
  22. Were you sphanxed often as a child?
  23. Don't sign your posts. Apparently NEI has a plugin that supports Railcraft: If you disable Railcraft, you have to go in and remove that plugin too.
  24. The .jar you download from the front page and the .jar it puts in the .techniclauncher folder are different things, so it would make a difference which one you run, yes.
