  1. Welcome to Java, adding more RAM than required may have unintended consequences, as you have just found out. Have you considered trying to run at 6 GB?
  2. Make sure you have set up a minecraft java username.
  3. Update Plustic to, atleast, 7.0.2.1 https://github.com/Landmaster/PlusTiC/releases?page=3
  4. So, did you follow the link I posted, or...?
  5. Minecraft versions up to 1.7.10 are affected by this.
  6. Do you have a dedicated gpu or just Intel HD graphics? If the first, force it to use the dedicated gpu, if the latter, downgrade your drivers to version 1069.
  7. Whatever forge you included, it is not the installer renamed to modpack.jar. That should be a file around 7MB, not the 200 kb that's included.
  8. Log in using the vanilla launcher and set up an username. You cannot use this launcher until you have an username set.
  9. It is interesting that those systems have 8 GB RAM in the first place, as 32 bit windows itself only supports up to 4 GB RAM (and that's total, not just java, and Windows probably taking about 1GB for itself from that total).
  10. There's an issue between Forge for 1.16.5 and Java 8u321 and beyond. Try downgrading your java (if you can find older versions), or use the Mojang JRE option in the launcher.
  11. RedPower is a mod that never made it past minecraft 1.4.7. There were plans to make RedPower 3 as a standalone game, but the last update on that was in 2015. It simply doesn't exist for newer versions of minecraft. As an alternative, ProjectRed has been added.
  12. The main reason is that the modpack is called Tekkit 2 and not ProjectE 2.
  13. Minecraft uses the amount of ram it needs. Going above 16 GB has no value, unless you are also running a 512x super detailed texturepack on a modpack monstrosity. And then your performance is bad anyways, regardless of your hardware or your allocated ram.
  14. Please don't have your pastebin's expire so soon, I don't look here every day.
  15. Ah, this is because of your intel graphics drivers. Microsoft seems to have pushed an update recently to get them updated, but it turns out that this affects graphics on Minecraft up to version 1.7.10 (meaning that newer versions of minecraft are unaffected). Your options are rather simple. Either you have a dedicated graphics card (NVIDIA or AMD), for NVIDIA you use the NVIDIA control panel to always use your NVIDIA card when doing anything with minecraft and java/javaw.exe. If you don't have a dedicated graphics card, just downgrade your intel drivers to a version that works: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/19344/685037/intel-graphics-windows-dch-drivers.html
  16. Yes, Technic Launcher's great eh?
  17. Tekkit doesn't work on java 17, use java 8 for that instead.
  18. Migrate your mojang account to a microsoft account.
  19. Microsoft enforces the use of microsoft accounts now. Mojang accounts are no longer usable for multiplayer minecraft. Yes, you get the generic invalid session error instead of something more descriptive.
  20. Microsoft has started to enforce Microsoft accounts only. Mojang accounts no longer work for multiplayer. Instead of actually giving an error that helps people understand this, you get the generic invalid session.
  21. Issue with vanilla minecraft, any version of minecraft between atleast 1.2 and 1.7 is affected by this. Minecraft 1.8+ does not have this issue. Fix this by downgrading your graphics driver to this version https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/19344/685037/intel-graphics-windows-dch-drivers.html or if you have an NVIDIA graphics card tell it via the control panel to run java/javaw on that instead.
  22. For your first question: Yes, see here: https://fabricmc.net/wiki/tutorial:technic_modpacks For your second question: Not that I am aware of.
  23. Yes, the cause has been identified for that, and it only affects minecraft up to 1.7.10 it seems. Do you have a dedicated graphics card in your computer, or do you only have an Intel HD graphics (which is a built-in gpu on your cpu)? If the first case, make sure that your dedicated graphics card runs minecraft. If the second case, downgrade your Intel graphics drivers to: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/19344/685037/intel-graphics-windows-dch-drivers.html
